So... CCP...
You have been planning this for months right?
If so, then did it ever occur to you that these "legal issues" of transferring our stuff to Legion should have been looked at long ago? Or perhaps you were to busy getting turned on about your "glorious" idea that you never thought about how it would affect us the Dust community?
You had this planned for a long time yet never bothered to see if we could transfer our stuff over?
Wow... nice to know we were in your thoughts when creating Legion.

looking at what they bought to fanjets they hadn't put a lot of thought into any aspect of legion by the time they announced it
this feels like were right back where we started in 2009 when the first video of dust got released. a small demo tape ad a bunch of half cocked ideas but no timeline and nothing solid in terms of vision or implementation |

Im excited for legion but I gotta agree and the cocky, egotistical way CCP Rouge presented legion makes me really concerned for its future.. Especially reading the different interviews with CCP Rouge, he makes it sound like Legion is just a college dorm project and they dont mind tossing it if people dont play it...
How much effort is really being put into either is the question Dust has obviously received the back burner but is CCP and the new guy really going to learn from their mistakes or just push another product out with hopes and dreams to milk their loyal customers again... |

Yea let me guess...they read the forums where people said they would have them fired, Dust is dying, the game is a pos. Yea I think they checked alright. Guys acted like they didn't want the game anyway. So what's the big deal here?

I swear, you don't read anything.
Sony owns the data, it cannot be transferred or use or used to reward in legion.
They've discussed the end of dust for 6 months.
CCP is not a console com pay, their experiment failed, they are getting out.
It's confirmed that dust is dead by CCP and the question period on skills and the digital spy article on dust 514. It's over. |

Post number 11. That's the big deal.
Forums are idiotic anyway. You can't take a handful of posters in a forums as collective consensus, especially when a game is console based and many, many players will never make it to the forums. The anger isn't just in the forums, it's in the entire player base. Many of the people I play with on the regular never come to the forums, but they are quite unhappy. These are people that were consistently buying into the vision of DUST, with time, and money, all while CCP knew they were going to be cancelling the vision they were selling on the console, and moving it to PC.
The fact that they continued selling the product under the guise of that vision, while planning to bail on it is the underlying issue, and the underlying deception CCP seems to think is acceptable business.

My bet is this is about that French **** sucker saving his job and the CCP Shanghai office for a couple more years. This is a case of lies told to the higher ups at CCP that its not that Shanghai is incompetent its all the fault of PS3 being impossible for them to realize their vision on. Those of you that still care will have to see what excuse they come up with next year for their lack of progress. My bet is they'll go with the switch to Unreal 4 as their excuse.

The thing that gets me about this whole debacle, even now, is that Project Legion doesn't sound as if it's necessarily going into production.
Rouge has ponced around all weekend presenting Legion as fait d'accompli, as if it's all planned and ready to go, but several times in front of Hilmar, he had to stress that it's not even been green-lighted yet.
So, Rouge has basically f***** off the entire Dust community, made a whole bunch of promises, created false expectations, all for some s*** that is essentially still in the state of vapourware.
Seriously, you couldn't make it up!
