Just because a handful of vets are quitting doesn't mean ****, they still have a con-current 3k player base funding them (probably more) then what current vets have given recently...
Will the con-current base still be above 3k this time next week ? |

It will bleed dry.
- Vets and Forum guys leave -> Corp/Alliance mates leave because their friends are gone -> Pubs take longer to queue and there is less content to be had in game -> Casuals leave
Im guessing sub 2k daily players at max by end of month.

3k people playing isn't 3k people funding. I doubt even a third of them buy aur.

that's what the local chat is for. Just because dust is no longer supported doesn't mean you have to quit playing. just make sure the new blueberries know by telling them in local chat. Also, notify the c.e.o. of your corp to issue out a statement to all corp members.
I already told mine that he should recommend new players to not spend real money.

I'm sure the a large percentage of players don't visit forums or know much about fanfest. It'll probably take a little while for word of mouth within the game to get people to know what is up. Then we'll have to see the actual effect.
Pretty easy to predict lots of proto gear for a while from people who have been saving their ISK for nothing.
The real death blow will be that most sane players will have no trust in Dust/CCP and few if any AURUM purchases will be made. Profit from the game drops significantly, then support drops. |

also, the playstation store allows you to rate games and dlc. if you feel so inclined, you can log in and change your rating to 1 star.
If enough people do this then eventually people will get the message.

And I think Lucrezia is right - I think it is only fair we advise any new players that spending money on this game, is pretty much supporting the development of another game, on another platform.
In the mean time, a the ISK and items I've saved are gonna fund a proto-killing spree.
I'm expecting a weird and dangerous post-apocalyptic Dust to develop - all the chaos with some players leaving/corps disbanding and others staying with nothing to lose and no real competition. Everyone burning up all their resources until it comes to an end.
Almost sounds beautiful...I wonder if that is how CCP imagined it?

You really don't understand how things like this work do you?
There are a lot of people that don't even understand what is happening. If they spend money now that is a problem. Money transactions for an end of lifed game.
The game IS end of lifed.
Anybody else still around is people like me who are going to blow their load and then be gone. Otherwise, it will be just piddling around with the game, no monetery investment, until it the plug gets pulled.

These same vets are Mass-asking Refunds from Sony (It works).
Sony is going to ask CCP what's going on, will be the end.
Actually it start cost lot of money to Sony.
Any player that actually buy anything could ask a refund for the next three months, Dust 514 will make CCP NO MONEY. |
