I think CCP made a great choice by deciding to create this PC First Shooter, and for that we should praise them. However they shoul've have left Dust in a more polished state instead of ditching it as it is now and going on to Legion. Furthermore if they wanted to garner the original Dust player base onto the PC, they ought to transfer over characters, but it might not happen either. IMO, we should see how Legion goes, because it looks very close to Dust in terms of game mechanics, and there's going to be PvE and a player market which sounds pretty good. I would really just like to see my character imported there with my Min and Gal scout. =)
Also does anyone know when it's supposed to be released? 6 months?

In the stream they said they just came out of project Legion crunch time
They still have things left to do for dust "the unnamed heavy weapons" but they need a week or two as they have nothing planned yet.

The state of Dust doesn't matter. Give it 6 months at max and it will get shut down. They only should've given us answers on how they will port over our dust characters to Legion. There's no other question to be asked. Because Dust was nothing more but a Beta for Legion.

Sad but true.
I'd say 6 months, since the core is already made in Dust.
Dust will rapidly tend to die. I don't think It will be playable when only 19 players are still there.

Project Legion, from what Ive read, isnt even near the alpha stage... its only at the level of concept.
I understand why CCP is making the move... that is not what i think is the issue with most of the DUST community...
The fact that CCP is trying to entice players to purchase AUR, by reducing the ORGIN pack to 50% and then getting extra SP by using ORIGIN pack.... shows that CCP just wanted to get people who are unaware of the situation to dump $ for nothing in return.
That is a dishonest way of doing business.
BEFORE they advertise sales on AUR, they should have stated intentions before, so that players are well informed, and could make decisions well....
Instead, CCP are looking like a bunch of sneaky bastards that expect us to get screwed and then be happy that they are giving us legion in the future (with features that were promised in dust)
i get that maybe some things couldnt work on the console.... but you lose hardcore fans.... a fanbase that could bolster Legion sales.... |

Bullshit. They don't deserve our praise.
That they're not even attempting any form of damage control is clear evidence that they don't really give a rat's ass about the loyal, dedicated PS3 players who stuck with them to help make their grand "vision" possible in the first place. They knew what the PS3 was like to develop for when they started, but they made their empty promises and went ahead with Dust anyway but, in the end, they decided "this is too hard", and have given up.
Anyone who follows them to Legion on the PC should enjoy it while it lasts. We've all seen how CCP has screwed over it's Dust players, so don't think that they won't hesitate for one second to screw you guys over, too, the moment things get tough or it suits their "vision". |

Dust is Dead and we were taken as suckers, many of us paid CCP money to beta test eve legion for them :-/ |
