Yesterday CCP hijacked all the DUST 514 presentations with "Project Legion" a improvement and port of Dust assets that go back to the orginal promises of Dust 514.

Without realising it, (or maybe they did) CCP basically said "sorry Dust 514 will never work the way we promised, we arn't going to develop it further in any meaniful way."

Since ccp games primary USP is continious development they basically gave Dust a terminally illness. They killed Dusts Future by annoucing the birth of its son.

Maddening Point 1 - CCP was told to release dust on the PC in the beginning by players who saw the technical problems.

Maddening Point 2 - CCP strongly suggested that Dust would be supported on a 10 year growth cycle.

Maddening Point 3 - CCP let Dust players go to fanfest and offered no actual Dust news.

Make a man a fire and he will be warm for a night, set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life

If so, your money and time is completely safe as DUST 514 is becoming just an arcade shooter. If you put money into DUST wanting it to be the big, sprawling EVE connected game I would say that the money and time is a possibly waste as Legion is going to be THAT game. Dust is staying online for an unknown amount of time. There will be no more new content developed, just bug fixes. Characters may or may not be transferred to Legion. It's assumed there are no refunds cause it's a company that purposely lied to generate as much income as possible before announcing Legion.

PS planes morph into plans fyi If you know what a telefrag match is, then I love you. The tritanium I sell is more relevant than dust has ever been.

Maybe I am deaf I didn't hear one single 'I'm sorry' anywhere about anything, oh, or a thank you for spending money for the last back to back to back SP events and omega booster while we knew this was coming.
