Is not only upset players. Is the fact that CCP was falsely advertising a game. They stole money from the players in order to fund a new project. Now we are left in the "Dust".....oh the irony. |

We had the rug pulled out from underneath us.
We invested lots of time, effort, and lost sleep to making it in this game.
We forged friendships, alliances, and made vicious enemies.
We told our friends how this game was different because the developers care about the player base. This isn't COD after all. It was going to grow and the stories we weave in the game would matter in the EVE universe.
We had expectations for improvements to Dust, instead during the keynotes for Dust, CCP Douche reveals what basically boils down to as replacement for Dust on the PC.
The forums should go soon.
They'll sucker more people into Dust while it dies if people aren't spreading the word that CCP is giving up on it.
If Dust dying isn't the case then it could use some clearing up, but they just skirt around it.
Iron Wolf Saber basically told us to get over it. That other companies are garbage so why are we mad at CCP for acting the same.
We can pickle that.

They wont shut dust down yet for business reasons , if they could they prob would though .
It just amazes me that you have players that can't wait for the same thing to happen to them as well ... again .
Believe you me it won't be free , that's the whole idea of moving it to PC and if those who think it will be are excited , they will find out soon enough or it might be at the last moment .
CCP is good for the last moment .
Stop asking for tiercide , your killing variety and the fun of this game at the same dam time .

Oh well. The way this community has acted towards the game with its drama antics, **** talking, calling this game a POS, its really not surprising that the story ends this way.
Community figured they can just do whatever with this game and that CCP would just continue developing for spoiled brats who can't be satisfied.
I enjoyed the ride and its been fun. It's a shame that we got here. But hey, wasn't Dust dying? So why you mad? Weren't you posting great games that "did it better"? Weren't you deleting Dust anyway?
Alot of good things got muddled by the community's selfish perspectives. The community is just to blame. I'm pretty sure if the community was a bit, "warmer" we wouldn't even be in this predicament

You act as if this is DUST exclusive.
This happens in EVERY game with an online forum, particularly competitive games.
Quit trying to blame the players for CCPs failing. They are a business, and they are attempting to sell a product: we are consumers, and we will either consume that product, or consume it in the flames of bad press.
CCP pulled the trigger, we're just traveling where they shot: straight through DUSTs heart.

Basically, here is my guess, and probably the right future.
Dust will be shut down in 6 month - 1 year of time from now.
After that, Dust players will have a base skillpoint bonus to use in Legion, based on the sp you already had in Dust.
The names of your characters will probably remain.
No stats like K/D will remain.
So basically, a complete reset with a bonus if you played Dust.

Most likely as it seems to a lot of people that this game won't receive any big updates anymore maybe .
Basically CCP announced project legion which is a PC(and maybe ps4) game at the moment and that game will most likely have all the sandbox experiences people been asking for like maybe free roam, industry , etc. Although the game might not even come out as they said it isn't a thing yet. Either way there was not much info on new updates for dust as of yet , as a dev said most of the dust presentations are mostly about legion.
If legion is a thing I'm pretty sure dust will die or they'll make dust into something else. |
