I think they could have taken what they learned and moved to the PS4. It would have been a much easier transition with much less rage, as I am sure it would have been easier to transfer data, skills, etc within the playstation brand.

As it stands, I hope this game fails. CCP has done a great disservice to the player base, and I hope there is some Karma in for them.

Sorry, but simply put, you are completely wrong.

It would not be easier to port the game to PS4, it would take a similar amount of effort as a PC port - architecture reasons. In fact in the small interview they did after the EVE keynote, the devs said that Legion arose out of the need to rebuild the game on with a PC architecture, which includes next gen consoles.

They also admitted that they f*cked up Dust, and that at this point it's just easier to rebuilt it on a flexible platform that can actually handle the game - unfortunately sometimes you just have to call time on your projects when it becomes apparent that it's just not working, it actually happens fairly often in the game industry (and every other industry).

Finally, and most importantly, they also said that they won't just leave the Dust players behind, we will get something in Legion for our time, effort and money spend on Dust - they just don't know what it is yet, Legion is still pretty early in development so quite how everything such a items and SP could translate across is still an unknown. Plus Sony might throw a spanner in the works with stuff that's tied to PSN accounts.

I don't even know why those in the community are getting sucked up into this debate , while forgetting that you have all been screwed by the same people who's values you attempted to uphold ... while behind your backs , they plotted your demise .

I don't give a flying frack about you PC gamers because this is much bigger than all of you and that should be the focus and not getting caught up in petty arguments . You have what you want and I just can't believe why you would trust the same people who just clusterfracked the community that supported this game up to the point of where it is now .

The first FPS I ever played was Doom and it was a PC game. The most fun I ever had on an fps was unreal tournament, also on pc.

But it has been many years since I played an fps on a pc. It will take time to get used to aiming with a mouse again, but I do remember how accurate you can be with a mouse. Much more so than a controller.

FPS games were BORN on the PC. Mouse and keyboard is and will always be superior to any console input. There's a reason they have to give aim assist to the scrubs in almost any console shooter.

Consoles are meant for racing games, fighting games, and similar "arcade" type games.
