I don't care what platform DUST is on. You can do it on the PS4, on the PC, or event both. It doesn't matter. You could even rewrite it completely. All I care about is two things:
- That the core concepts of DUST remain
- Existing characters are transferred with their SP progression intact
Instead you're making a new FPS game for the EVE universe. Even though there has been no confirmation or communication, it's abundantly clear this new game will eventually replace DUST, meaning there will be no further updates to the game. What's worse is you precede this "announcement" by encouraging people to spend money to further their DUST progression even though it will soon amount to nothing.
How can you expect anyone to trust you now? Especially with the lack of communication and broken promises past and present?
I'm also having a hard time putting any faith in the comment about this new game being any better "based on the experience of our developers". After the 1.8 update there were some bugs that made me raise my eyebrows in wonder if you have any test-driven-development practices implemented. It feels like this is (was) not the case with DUST. If that is the case I hope that was one of the lessons learned and that going forward you will be militant about TDD.
I just wish that "Legion" was "DUST 2.0" even if it was a complete rewrite and put on a different platform. |

Dust 2.o was probably originally called Dust 514 - Legion. Then CCP decided they want that on PC because the PS3 doesn't have enough power for what they want to do (or CCP just sucks at optimizing, but I don't know that). But now they had a problem: They have a deal with sony, not allowing Dust 514 to be on another platform. What do, what do? Just call the game Legion and tell everybody it has nothing to do with Dust. It looks exactly the same, plays exactly the same, has the exact same lore, uses the exact same assets, has the exact same maps and the exact same gameplay modes but... no! It's not Dust anymore. Why would you think that?!

Look at the legion video up. It is literally dust 514 with better graphics on a single new map. Everything else is the same. The models, the sounds, the guns they are all the same. Hell even the fucking in game icons are the same. |

I hope that's the case. It's not about the name or the platform it's on. It's about the core concepts and the player progression. |

It can`t be the same as Dust , apparently they will have a player Market, you know that thing that was promised a couple of years ago. Actually I shouldn`t say MARKET, apparently its a swear word at CCP and you get sent to be a forum mod if you say it as a punishment |
