They knew, but literally nothing they said could stop this.
They warned time and time again to tell us early, tell us from the start, but CCP said that they wanted to "show something". They also warned about the backlash, and warned about how poorly they're explaining everything.
CPM did all they could.

I'll believe the Cat on this. Unless the CPM moonlights as serial killers, I doubt they'd want to see this happen to us.

I believe this. But after all: CCP has no obligation at all to listen to the CPM. -.-

CPM did all they could. Doubt it they became CPM because they loved the game the idea that they wanted it to fail is ludicrous. I have no idea what CCP was thinking the backlash from this would be. certainly the knew it was not going to go over well with us... then they hung us out in limbo to dry... I just I have no idea what they thought would happen. but it isn't the cpm's fault.

Well now I have no sympathy whatsoever for CCP. I don't want to sound like one of those doomsayers, but this is just it. First monacle gate and now this. The hubris is justGǪI can't imagine it. |

Seems like CCP Rouge is repeating the same issues that came up with the previous management, even though initial reports seemed otherwise. Oh well... |

The backlash is an acceptable loss. I imagine the DUST playerbase is small enough to write off at some level. With the crossover from EVE you're really only losing the hardcore console only players. At some point it makes more sense to salvage half of your dying fanbase and move it to a thriving platform. |

i don't think so, the momentum a fan-base can do, legion will die on the egg if the fan-base say no, think of everybody you can talk to, and now imagine the bad press you can get form everybody who played your game say do not try this, CCP shangai make ****** game, they WILL have to address this, it is how they try to recuperate that will break or save the game, at this point they ave to listen, or fail i just hope they care enough to take a breath of air, forget their ego, and start anew, |
