CCP will be incapable of balancing between PS3 and PC. Their PS3 support amounts to "living up to contractual" obligations because if the game dies on PS3 because we all quit playing it when PC players stomp on us then its not CCP's fault right? Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

My guess would be that the PC is a continuation on the development of the game that technologically surpasses the ps3 version. So eventually dust in its newest form would eventually have to be on PC, and possibly even PS4 waaay down that road. It makes sense because the PC could be a safe segway for Dust to be implemented on PS4 later on. One could only hope. Big news nonetheless. The new graphical effects do make the game look more like the vision that ccp showed us years ago. (That background orbital strike looked great)

The keynote didn't do a good job of appeasing any of the PS3 players concerns. At least we know what the Legion trademark was for now.

But they said nothing about the progress on the ps3 version. There is another presentation called Dust 514: Progression in about an hour, hoping for answers there so many fking anwers Rage at Fanfest??

I also hope some of the CCP devs (logibro, saberwing, etc) can take a moment from their hard work (and eventual drunkness) to help calm the forums down. If I could get them to answer WHILE drunk, it would be even better.

That's business speak for "we will maximize the profits from the obsolete product until the new product is ready". Same thing happened with Windows Phone 7. Though, in contrast to Dust, I actually knew what I was getting into at the time.

"To move foward with their dreams they need to move to PC" Moving forward eventually dumping the ps3 version. hmmmmmm I'm not mad about the ps3 version but it just really looks like that eventually they'll have to move to the ps4 to keep up with the pc version so both communities can play on the same server( tranquility ) but even then the ps4 I've heard is a low end gaming PC. When we asked if it would be ported to the PS4, they said there would be a laser focus on the PS3. Now, they are all gaga over a prototype PC game, and have yet to mention any changes whatsoever in the current iteration of MMOFPS. As far as I can see, these comments are just to humor us through our rage. They may plan on working on the PS3, but its not long term, and when they see they have alienated their player base, and that we no longer want anything to do with Dust, they will stop devoting resources to that too. Looking for the scout hangout?
