That was the last thing I was hoping for. If i could play DUST on my PC, I would definitely jump on it, I'd be all for it. They tried consoles and it didnt work. Its not really surprising with the abandonment of WoD. They are consolidating all assets to New Eden on the PC. It sucks for the pure console players but its probably something they decided they had to do as a company moving forward.

You're just gonna get destroyed by people with raw input aiming and 60+ fps with better draw distance.

PS4 since literately just runs unreal 3 and x86 games with no issues. War thunder and Planetside 2 are all PC builds.

It had better be ******* optimized for lower end PCs.(i'm talking 1gb ram and 1 cpu) My biggest problem with PC is the fact in order to EVEN PLAY PS2, and many other Fps games, you need to spend upwards o 600-800 bucks JUST TO PLAY ON MINIMUM. My PC is like, 1-2 years old, and can't even run half the games now. Consoles were supposed to set a standard- you didn't have to troubleshoot for people using quad stacked 1998 video cards, jury rigged PC's made from experimental parts, among many other things. You had, maybe, 3 different 'types' of the same console. E.g fatty, slim, and super slim. General John Ripper Like ALL the things!!!

As they are saying during the eve engine session, there are so many configurations of PCs it is impossible to test on all of them. You think DUST is buggy now? Wait till it's on PC. KBM may be technically better than a controller, but not everyone is as good with kbm as they are with controllers. I stopped playing FPSs on computers back in Quake 1 times, didn't come back to FPSs until the first Medal of Honor and Halo, both on controllers. I bought Bioshock on steam, then went ahead and spent the money again to get it on my xbox...cause I suck at mouse control. I'm bad at Dust, and one small thing keeping me from being super super bad was not having all the pc-fps purists to compete against. But I know I'm in a minority. I'm not interested in DUST because it's an FPS. I'm interested in it cause it's New Eden, takes less time commitment than Eve:Online, it's supposed to be moving toward a sandbox MMO, and doesn't eat 3/4 of my monthly gaming budget. The MMO component is way more important to me than the FPS component, so I never cared about doing whatever the majority of the FPS crowd preferred if it didn't make sense for the MMO component. It had better be ***** optimized for lower end PCs.(i'm talking 1gb ram and 1 cpu) My biggest problem with PC is the fact in order to EVEN PLAY PS2, and many other Fps games, you need to spend upwards o 600-800 bucks JUST TO PLAY ON MINIMUM. My PC is like, 1-2 years old, and can't even run half the games now. Consoles were supposed to set a standard- you didn't have to troubleshoot for people using quad stacked 1998 video cards, jury rigged PC's made from experimental parts, among many other things. You had, maybe, 3 different 'types' of the same console. E.g fatty, slim, and super slim. And this is where the problem will lie for those who are pounding their chests as PC players . Just spent about 800 on a Toshiba that was shipped from the plant in China and I bet in about 5 months this thing will be obsolete . Keep pounding your chests while spending those bucks because in the information age , things get old fast and you have to pay out the wazoo to even keep up . This seems like more of a money play if you ask me . Stop asking for tiercide , your killing variety and the fun of this game at the same dam time .**

They legally can't, since Sony published Dust 514. They would have had to convince Sony to allow them to develop the game for PC as well, but things didn't work out. Therefore it's best and legally safer for CCP to make a "spiritual" successor of Dust with a different name. If Sony was still supporting them, then they would most certainly end up developing the game for PS4, as well.
