A scan beacon
Suggested Feature's Will be able to scan cloaked scouts constant area scan if players enter. Enemy will see beacon's location on map if it scan's them. Only prototype scan beacon's could scan everything Except for max gallente scout with two complex damps. Same as other equipment to destroy. Gives of loud alert directional noise when destroyed by enemy. BASIC- Carry 1 active deploy 1, Scan Radius 30 meters. ADVANCED- Carry 2 active deploy 1, Scan Radius 35 meters. PROTOTYPE- Carry 3 active deploy 2, Scan Radius 40 meters.
Reason's For. -To add another level of depth to the game. -I run a weak caldari scan scout alot when the other team is all scouts, to give passive scan's to my squad. but i don't get the intel kill like a scanner would. And i don't fight much unless there is a target off by himself. -Will give an optional sense of security to help keep heavies, and or snipers from getting shot gunned in the back as much maybe. And maybe camping tankes from getting remoted from the back. -Mainly purposed to stop anti-scout whining as it gives a simi-solution too other then using the old scanner. And as a scout i don't think we the scout community would be against it. Could alway speed shotgun threw or take out the equipment then kill. And gives gallente an added buff. -May help with remote detection. example scout died remote still on ground entire team still standing on, scout spawns in bam. with this ecuipment out they could see the remote setting there.
Con's -Op compared to other manual scanner -More skill points to skill into something else -Hurts Scouts -beacon means there is a person near by using it possibly. - could be placed to give advance warning of an undefended objective being hacked.. example place beacons 100 meters out from an outside objective, When beacon goes killed players know know to spawn in on objective to meet enmey prior to hack. Thus avoiding counter hack time and null cannon down time.
Just an Idea, Flame on.
- Its not a Tank AV problem its a madrugar regen problem. 2. Its not a cloak shotgun problem its a assualt scout issue.

If you're thinking about implementing a scanner, then there's the possibility of it being used against you. So if you're a weak scout, it would be in your best interest NOT to have something like this. But if its balance you want, then fix the higher tiers of scouts, but I don't think that an area of effect scanner would be good for all.
Snipers will abuse it.
Team players will abuse it to avoid getting squad wiped.
Sorry, but I don't see it. But I like your spirit of good ideas, keep inventing!
Not liking DUST so much so far, but hey, its free.
