The HMG isn't held together with duct tape for example, it is still a nice looking weapon if compared to our modern standards. As such, here is an example of MInmatar autocannons on the new EVE Valkyrie teaser. The Valkyries originated from a pirate faction (Guristas) so the ship design follows pirate faction design philosophy.
