But you can keep damage from being taken or give in redline
Wp are not active in the redline
If you leave redline and return you will have your own redline countdown of 1min - 30 seconds if you dont return to battle your kicked or die (communitys choice) if you leave and return again in the same battle the countdown will start up from were it ended last time (when you left last).

The redline ruins this games potential. It ensures the maps will NEVER open up like originally promised. It encourages lazy, nonconstructive game design that has given us some of the most boring game types in FPS history. It makes no sense with the lore, it makes no sense in terms of gameplay, and is completely immersion breaking. It's a worthless mechanic that forces the game to be balanced around, yet does virtually nothing in terms of improving the experience for anyone.
Team specific redlines are a design crutch at best, and nothing more.

Oh, so when my tank is almost dead I can just retreat back to the redline to repair and pop out to engage and repeat? Like, I dont even have to find cover anymore. This is dumb. Remove redline completely. If you must keep it, atleast keep it limited to pubs and just remove WP. |

I say just bomb the red line with orbitals as long as your side holds an objective, that will get people out of it and even makes a bit of sense
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world.

STFU all of you.
Proto stomping a-holes like yourselves are the reason why guys like me don't play. new players hear this whining and think nah, I'll go play something else.
quit the ******* crying and grow the **** up.
So there are people like me that will cap you in the head from my territory. Just the same as all these "scouts" have too use a shotgun and cloak. Remove the cloak and shotgun you can have my red line, same ******* thing. |

I have seen so many of these posts to remove the redline, prevent people from shooting from the redline etcetera
but almost all of them have no constructive alterative. no option for the people that have been pushed to the redline.
so I ask what options would they have, what alternative would you endorse??
how about fully in redline.. redlined team gets unlimited orbitals until they can break out? a set structure with a shield?.. the area below the MCC has a shield from ground to ship?
no you don't want any option for them
and people wonder why so many just end up quitting the game.
so when you can think of a good alternative that everyone can agree on then we can discuss the redline
until then this and all anti redline area posts are moot
or better yet stop complaining.

Well said, Sir. Well said.
Most never got to play when the rail gun tanks could kill inside the MCC with splash damage. Spawning into the MCC was a death trap and often the CRU on the ground spawn was destroyed. It wasn't until later that CCP/Shanghai reacted to Mercs being upset about being Red lined with no alternative between deciding to quit or die. Finally actual ground spawns were added to relieve the situation, splash guards were added to some of the MCCs and finally rail gun splash damage was significantly reduced. They also made the supposed shields in the opening of the MCC become an actual shield and prevent Red fire from crossing it, even splash damage.
Things change, except for QQ Kittens. Dust will always have those.
And so it goes.

just get rid of it. if your team runs out of spawns and is trapped inside their MCC area for X amount of time they're skunked and lose by default.
Thr33 is the magic number.

Also, replace the redline with a bubble shield and/or bunkers that allow vehicles to be spawned in safely and prevent shooting into or out of. Skunks should also have slightly reduced payouts or something.
