I joined the match solo, because it's late at night and I have a had time befriending neckbeards. I noticed I was up against DNS so I quit the match before I lost too much money, and proceeded to wait in the FW queue for 8 minutes and got matched up with the exact same squad. Now I've had this happen before, but I used to log in in the mornings before I went to work. Now when I try to run FW in the morning I don't find a game because no one is playing FW.

My point is, is the Dust population small enough that I need to find my own full squad in order to have a chance in FW matches? Or would it be easier to just pray I get put on the winning team and just leave the match when I don't?

Squad up. It really is the only way to have a chance should you run into another squad or, god forbid, a que sync.

Late night is not a popular FW prime time. Evenings and mid afternoon is typically the best time to fight.

Yes. Unless you're playing in prime time, expect to fight the same squads constantly. Best bet is to wait until you're on their side and then see if they have a vacancy.
