So,
Can't we have some battle types that only allow you to enter battle with Meta 2 or lower modules? I'm sure it will help some of the NPE guys out if they can enter a battle which is restricted to equipment of one meta type or lower.
As we get more of a player base we can add different battle types with Meta 5 or lower etc etc. Yet right now if we had a area of battles restricted to a lower meta type with a reduced payout it will help out a ton because it will help the new players not get protostomped as hard.
Just saying,,
Forge Changes needed Officer Splash 3.0, Proto 2.7 Advanced 2.5 Standard 2.1.
Original ROF needs to return!

Meta levels are useless and mean nothing in Dust514 so ... no. They were deemed useless and no effort beyond their being in the description of something has ever happened.
And of even more importance is this:
There Is No Matchmaking In Dust (tm). There never has been and there are no signs there will be.
Just do the math, there are very few Mercs playing. The battle type that was promised and is still missing is PVE. Although I suspect that many New Berries would never leave it. Why would they? It would be better than the pubstomping for many.

Actually there was matchmaking in place for a while, unfortunately it caused wait times of several minutes and people demanded its removal.
But, i'm not dead!

Yet really, there are rooms in eve where you can't use higher class ships. Why can't Dust have a second ambush that's a Meta 2 ambush. It could be half the payout out of normal Ambush and would be amazing to have a new game mode.

I do not think that we have numbers(not to many players for this) to separate players like that.
