Planetary Conquest was messed up from the start ccp only gave districts to a handful of corps when it came out now they are as rich as hell.How does a new corp even start to take districts when there are so many super corps on Planetary Conquest.ccp came out with Planetary Conquest way to early they should of waited a while. |

But CCP allowed them to safely keep them while making profit by doing so by providing an easy to exploit gamemode. And regardless what CCP will change for PC the damage has already been done... |

I was around too and in a corp with 30 members. We took 4 districts. I had less than 10 million sp and I was not a closed beta vet. I actually started a month late.
Pc was different then as it is now. Back then people actually wanted to fight. Now people just want to farm. That is the only thing that has changed.
Just because you couldn't get anywhere back when pc was fun doesnt mean anything. yes pc is broken but I get the feeling you just have no gun game and your understanding about the history of pc is sketchy at best.

There was a hotfix today to fix a bug with district locking. Is that anything to do with PC? I've never PC'd.

But... there was a problem right from the start. The release was early for the european by several minutes. Resulting in most of MH being taken before Americans got in.
This lead the first blue donut to be feared - CRONOS. Being all the top european corps in there time zone, they took advantage of the situation and grabbed all they could with the ISK they had.
It would be 3 alliances working together to bring down CRONOS - EoN, NF, LoI. And what was the slogan?

translation: I was afraid to take a risk when PC started, and now other players who took risks got rewarded. Other corps are better than me which is unfair, so i want to get free districts without any work. I shouldn't have to do something about the problem, only whine about it, so it's CCP's fault.

I would like to point out, that it was fixed within 2 weeks of we in DNS SCREAMING about it, and petitioning it :D. Thank you CCP, for fixing one of the many broken PC mechanics in a timely fashion. If you had been this quick on district locking, most of the player base wouldn't have rotted out |

ERA, the current holder of most land, started from 1-3 districts 4 months ago. We got the money to do that from the Teamplayers Master Wallet, which we stockpiled 6 months earlier by attacking constantly for 3 months. Teamplayers started out with 3 districts, all of which were under attack at ****** euro times for weeks. We engineered new strategies and took on all comers. Don't try to sit there and tell me we didn't earn the right to farm. Isn't a team in the game that we haven't fought, and if there was anyone left that wasn't locking, they would be under attack right now.
You have no idea what you are talking about. If you want a history lesson some time, I will be more than happy to provide one. I like reminiscing about being relevant :( |

Or, rather the lowlife power players exploit holes in the system, ruining the intent and spirit of the game thus forcing CCP to have to shift gears to put priority on plugging the holes of their weak, barely developed game mechanic.
This is not an in-game polotics problem. This is a game mechanic problem and one that CCP has acknowledged. It is locking out the ability to even play the game.
