That was the whole point.. by this time last year, FailFest was imminent (we didnt know this, because it was so fking hyped at the time), and the worst Dust expansion ever was released in the weeks to follow fanfest 2013... 
Right now, who is actually excited for fanfest?
I am cleaning up and preparing my criticism goggles... Which I will be wearing during all of fanfest, and the weeks to follow.

I think the lessons of last years fan rest have been learned, and it makes me both excited and sad.
Excited, because it is highly likely that whatever is announced this year will come to pass in the immediate future.
Sad, because for that same reason above those fpannounced features will be fairly tame in scope and ambition, because the lesson learned is that CCP has a development limit, and it is not something you'd want to shout about.
Still, I'll watch the live stream anyway and keep my fingers crossed for the MTACS ;)

The schedule for fanfest is already up and did not really impressed me...You can find it here

Uprising released all the racial suits (except pilots), all the racial rifles, and half of the sidearms. Hit detection improved (even if there are still ways to go).
