They're literally the only handheld weapons in the game without one.
While we're at it, why does the plasma cannon have horrendous CPU usage despite all its other tragic flaws?
Oh, and why do kincats cost way more in terms of fitting than most other comparable modules? They're not even that good.

With your sig and statement about kins you should be ashamed. Max them dropsuit upgrades bro. The PLC s a specialty weapon. Once you
learn it, its worth it.

Nova Knives don't run on an electric power source. They draw on our life force. Focusing chi in a strike.
That's why only only the strong use these weapons. Those lacking focus and resolve cannot properly charge the blades.

I run them, trust, but they're still damn expensive for a minmatar compared to, say, dampeners. Or hell, even armor plates. You're right though, I have been neglecting their skill tree since the respec oh so long ago.

Minmatar are already by far the fastest scouts *AT EVERYTHING* even without kincats and get by just fine on 3x complex shields. It is *very* easy to fit 1-2 complex profile damps in your lows, and still run an amazing set of knives (and if you cant figure out how to kill people with 1400+ damage on melee, you've got some issues).

Proto knives cost 48 CPU, 8 PG. Proto assault combat rifle costs 78 CPU, 8 PG. So not quite, but still pretty significant given the lack of fitting bonus.
