Hey vets,rookies,anyone. I need some min logo help. First off I have LV.5 in he logo suit,and rep tools. But I'm usually following people,and I need some help. What fits should I run normally? What manuvers should I use when I'm giving logi love? Should I circle to not get shot or figure eight? Why? Any advice is helpful. Yes,I am a support logi..

Not a logi myself, so don't take this as 100% truth, just a suggestion.
Lows- 2 armor plates n an armor repper, 4th is whatever you want
Highs-3 extenders n a regulator
Equpiment n weapon-personal preference
Again. not a logi, just what I'd do, n this was come up with in 2 mintues lol. But for going the logi path, I salute thee good sir o7
If we get a new matchmaker, it needs to be named Fiona, so we can all start singing Scotty doesn't know every match.

That was my first Logi suit, I now have that and the Gallente Logi.
If you are focused on Healing, then I brick my Logi with all Complex Shield Extenders, 1 Complex Rep, and as much Armour as you can fit. Fit a Flux Grenade, a Proto Combat Rifle with Prof. 5 or a Proto Rail Rifle if facing Long Range opponents, and for your equipment;
Creo Scanner, the proto one with a 10 second cooldown, and 10 second scan time
Gauged Proto Hives
Proto Needle
Proto Core Rep tool
Your Heavy must have a High Armour buffer, and must not be an idiot. Your Heavy must get it in his head that you do not under any circumstances drag your Logi into the Open, so that Heavy must be by cover at all times. ONe weakness to this is explosives such as the MD, but not many players use the MD.
This is assuming you want a PC Proto Fit

Skills
If you don't have Dropsuit Upgrades ->Armor/Shield to level 5, get them there first.
Next, make sure your Electronics and Engineering are up to at least lvl 3.
Now work on getting Armor Plates + Shield Extenders up. After that, put a few points in armor repairer and shield regulator.
Having all that, know that the min logi is your designated healer with the increased range + hp healed per level. So if you already have proto, you get that skill regardless of level of minnie suit you wear.
What to use 80% of the time
For average pub matches, bringing out proto is not going to help you. That fourth EQ slot will be tempting but honestly with the changes to EQ bonuses on different suits, I wouldn't bother unless you're in PC and need to do your job to the max. For pub matches, I used to bring out my ADV but lately I've been running STD and doing just fine but I would stress ADV for survivability if your gun game is not as good.
Fitting
Stack plates. Depending on your playstyle:
- (hit and run, duck in cover often) you want plates that don't hinder movement but still give you that little buff.
- (in the thick of it, repping like a boss) stack on those plates heavy
I would definitely recommend that put an armor repairer on your suit. With the auto reps removed, you're on your own and to be honest, I've seen so few people running a needle and repper that there is often no one to rep myself. Having even 1 hp/s is wonderfully helpful.
Shield extender is great for that extra little to get into cover. It has saved my bacon many times when run jumping to the next bit of cover. Shield regulator is more useful than you know. Getting those shields to recharge faster is a life saver in many ways.
Rep Tool of Choice
Now there are many rep tools out there but I can't talk enough about how much I love the BDR-8 tool. It's range is fantastic and nets me all the goodies. With its range, I'm often still in cover while my blueberries rage war. When I know the map is going to involve lots of close quarter combat, I'll spring for the Six Kin. Getting two streams means I can get two good blues to keep a doorway at bay until backup arrives. The wp and thus sp gained from losing a few of those always turns in your favor.
Maneuvers
~When giving logi love, jump around like a caffeinated flea when you're in the thick of it. The point is to keep the rep tool on for as long as possible but its going to be a personal learning curve for you to know when its best to let your healee die and whip out your own weapon. Sometimes that is better because if you're caught with your rep tool still out while your healee died, you're going down. If you take out your weapon in time to help when you know they're doing more damage than you can heal, you can often kill the attacker and pick up your man.
~Never get tunnel vision. Your rep tool is going to keep on target within reason. If I'm in an area that is easily flankable, I'll lock on the rep tool and then turn around. I'm still repping him, but I'm keeping an eye on their back. If something pokes out, I warn my blue and jump behind him.
~Don't just sit there and continue repping someone who is full. It's pointless and it screams to anyone passing by 'hey, there's the logi, kill it'. Do something else useful. Lay down some hives, Scan if you have it, and otherwise, just try to be useful intel to your team. If you're all alone and there is nothing at all going on, take a look at the map and see if you can spot tanks or action to relay to your team.
~Hoard your hives. Your hives will not get as much use as you think just laying them down ahead of time. Sometimes there are certain maps that just have best locations for a hive. However, most all of the playerbase knows that and thus fluxes them immediately. Just hoard them and wait for a player to ask for ammo. Usually it will be a blue who's meleeing you (mostly heavies). If they do, just be aware that most of the time, it means they're asking you for ammo. This makes sure that you get the most out of your hives.
**NEVER put down an uplink facing a wall. The direction you face putting them down is how new players spawn in. If you spawn them in facing a wall, you already put your team at a huge disadvantage. Don't do that.
**Don't be greedy with revives. Again, no tunnel vision. What killed that guy? Let me check the room first. Ok, its clear, now I can pick him up. Or, I have a mob of blues with me, they are clearing the area for me so let me get this blue. Don't just stick a guy all alone and don't revive anyone you don't intend to heal. Picking someone up and running away is basically the same thing as picking him up in front of a redberry. Unless you have a rep tool on your suit, you shouldn't be running a needle as a support logi.
There's lots more little things but I feel like I'm writing a book. o7 for a fellow logi!!

I used to run always the ADV suit (I think I ran around in my Mk0 a total of 5-6 times) but now I switched to a STD MinLogi 'cause logibroing ain't cheap.

this gets the work done and it's not so different from my ADV suit, that has basically a little more HP and a better repper.
I'm actually surprised for how effective this fit has proven, and it's also reasonably cheap (about 50k a pop and goes down to 45k if you drop one of the damage mods), I think that when* (*read it "if") the player market comes I'll have to put my hands on a Sever BPO

Np. If you haven't read it already, you should read the Logi Guide to Success in these forums. Best reading you'll ever do.
For additional tips, I would say don't go around asking people what the best weapon is. Your suit is going to be squishing and when blues start falling around you, you start to get desperate for a competitive weapon to fire back. That answer is going to be biased from player to player so I won't tell you what's best. I'll only tell you what's worked for me.
Before skilling into any of these weapons:
1. make sure your passive skillpoints are active on your main
2. create an alt (you can have 3 per PSN account) and spend ALL of your points into one weapon and one suit.
3. Go try it out.
4. If you hate it, delete the alt. If you like it, keep playing it a bit and upgrade the weapon even more.
5. Delete the alt, rinse and repeat.
When you have touched all the weapons you want, you can now safely spend that precious sp in a weapon you know will work for you.
- CR: the CR is a great little weapon with some good fitting requirements. if you are going to be in close to medium ranges with your opponent, this is a wonderful weapon to have in your pocket. Even a STD is enough in most cases to help support your team and not kill your wallet.
- RR: the RR took a LONG time for me to get used to. I used to be a spray and pray player. Once I calmed down, picked my targets and used my sights much more, it because a great 'reach out and touch you across the map' weapon. I use this mostly on big open maps. I'm not a slayer, but I tend to pick off quite a few guys who think I can't reach back and touch them. Open maps are a disaster for logis, so having a weapon that can give them enough pause while you jump to cover is important.
- SCR - the Scrambler rifle was my first love before the two above came into the game. Even if it is an elitist amarr weapon... It has range (not as good as the RR but better than the CR). It's a good middle between those two with a really good punch. As a min logi, my strength over other logis is in speed, not ehp. So the SCR used to give me the best edge in firing back and scaring them so I could get to cover when running from objective to object. However, that overheat is HARSH at beginning levels. Doesn't matter if I got them down to 20 armor, I was stuck in overheat for 5 seconds and they demolished me in that time. So if you aren't good at controlling your shots, don't go there.
- MD - oh this beautiful bad boy. It is not an everyday, every map gun. It's an ideal in only certain situations gun. But if done right, you can keep EVERYTHING at bay. I use the MD mostly in close quarter situations when I know a lot of heavies are trying to press in. It's the ultimate area denial weapon with the added bonus of being able to lob around cover. However, the big payoff for the MD doesn't pay off till higher levels.
So which is overall better? Well...I use all of them (and then some). I tend to switch them out as needed for the best situation at hand. I will say though that having the MD makes you a super target. So I only run my MD in my advanced suit.

I LOVE my sever bpo suit. However, I also am really loving my Dragonfly. He's gotten way more use this build than ever before.

determine the direction the rounds are coming from and put the heavy in between.
If you want to be really effective then make sure you are on coms with your squad and or heavy and keep on checking around you so no one sneaks up on you.
Dedicated logi's above will give more relevant advice about specifics as I haven't been one since chromosome.
You do not have to be crazy to play here but we are willing to train you.
