I took my minmatar logi to level 5 for a decent rep tool, ammar logi to level three for uplinks, and I am now currently working on getting an advanced caldari logi for my nano hives/injector. Only the gal logi i cant be bothered with.
Anybody else doing the same? What combination of suits do you like to run?

I would totally do that were I a logi. I myself have Gal and Min Souts to proto and looking to get Cal and Amarr (might as well, if I'm getting the other 3) to proto too.
The AR should be overwhelming since it is an ASSAULT Rifle. At the moment, it's not going to do any overwhelming.

Minmatar Logi for the win! Speedy hacks, good reps, fast enough to chase your green dots and strafe bullets.
I have also tried the proto galente and pro ammar logi suits.
Although being a good logi is more about the quality of equipment that you bring into the match.
I would recommend that any logi get into proto equipment before spec'ing into a second or third racial suit.

Currently got Galscout to level 5, Minnie commando to level 3, eventually up to 5, looking to get Minnie Sentinel, possibly Cal Mediums in the future, and maybe Amarr vehicles in the distant future. (What can I say? I'm multi-cultural)

I have a friend in my corp that has 3 logis to proto (Min amarr and cal) and is working on the forth. If this is not dedication I don't know what it is...

Not really worth it with the way the bonuses work, IMO. Might go cal logi again (had adv before the 1.8 refund) for a mega damage modded sniper suit but that's about it.

This is exactly what you should be doing, and is what people don't get so they whine. Your suits are supposed to be for specific roles like this! Kudos sir. |

I, personally, only run Adv. logi after 1.8. I run the Amarr. The Amarr logi's bonus to uplink spawn counts and time only applies while in the suit used to place the uplinks. Same for Cal logi. So if you place an uplink and then change to a min-logi then you lose the bonus to uplinks. This has been confirmed as NOT a bug and is part of the feature of being an Amarr logi.
That being said. I like that the amarr logi has a higher base HP and the side arm so I'm still glad I use it even if it is more rare than before 1.8. |

I'm waiting to see what kind of nerfs come out for the combat rifle in the next patch. If no nerfs are released im gonna finally dedicate some SP to that OP FOTM weapon and evaporate everything.
If they do balance the weapon, then i'll probably hold off and start saving for a chubby chaser fit. I use Logi ak.0 atm, only fit I have but I find with enough heavies in squad its worth running reps and I can run them almost constantly. Seems like a Logi mk.0 fit with rep tool bonuses would be well worth it as a chubby chaser fit with enough heavies in squad. |

I can't find myself bothering much for gal. I also don't know that I care to go Cal proto since my hives tend to just die too quickly to be of use or left behind entirely because my squads are very mobile. I don't think its worth that much sp for proto level hives as things stand today.

i took my gal scout to proto but use basic to drop my adv uplinks. i then move to the nearest resupply where i switch to my proto cal logi costing 200k isk each. i drop all my equipment and switch out asap to my proto gal commando with repair tool.
its a waste of sp to spec into multiple logis. there is no value in it. there is no value in carrying anything but the equipment bonused for which is why most logi's max out and then used the basic suit variant with a sin gle piece of equipment.

Thanks for the props, but sorry dude, but i was one of the biggest QQ'ers when they released the 1.8 equipment stats! I would rather have one excelllent suit than have three suits great at only one thing and miserable at the others but ya know...thats a long dark road...
My logis have one proto equipment for thier respective race to keep suit costs down. The minmatar flavors come in six kin, core focused, or generally a BDR-2 with a proto needle. Winmatar logi is my go to fit.
I've found the ammar is not so effective during the battle after throwing down uplinks yet it's a great AV suit. hive, proximity mine, swarm launcher, armor plates, side arm of choice.
Caldari is gonna be the needle + hives for resupply.
Then on to my heavy suits.
Redline for Thee, but no Redline for Me.

Agreed. I use this suit for the exact same thing- uplink drops and a Pro AV suit with a side-arm.
I had a play around with running it as an infantry logi suit but the movement speed.... ehhhh slow motion when your used to the minmatar. And lets be honest no real logi wants to give up that 4th equipment slot.

ADV Minnie logi with proto rep guns and pen/hives so yeah I am the combat medic as the minnin logi is supposed to be which is awesome.
combat medic was the exact role that I wanted to play when I eventually get into FW or PC (when PC is finally fixed)
along with being a sniper, tanker.. some day a MTAC and fighter pilot... maybe soon tm
part time scout... and assaulter
ohhh don't forget the heavy HMG and forge gunner.
the none specialist will soon be the fit of the game because sooner or later you have to do more then one thing or you will go crazy.
same philosophy I use in EVE, the none specialist.
but repping a couple heavies that are just mowing people down and watch that counter blink of triage and guardian points like a lotto junkie does at the casino.

In pc I use gal logi for scan bonus or cal scout for passive. In pubs i use my cal scout logi for passive scan/mobility/rep.
most logi suits are fine for pubs but the medium suits are lacking in general.
Every mercs life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and died that distinguishes one from another
