The following is my fit based on my current skills: Proto min Scout: 2x Complex Shields 1x ADV Precision 2x Complex Kinkat 1x Complex Damp Adv Shotgun SMG Core Nade Cloak (no second equipment) The main problem I am having is when I shoot at someone and they don't take any damage. The second issue I am having is probably bad luck but no matter what I do, I seem to be unable to avoid shots landing on me. I can't tell you how many fkn times a shotgun scout jumps and goes unscathed and rapes 6 dudes. Why the hell can't I do that? What is the secret? Is it just practice on timing? Is it that I need a 3rd kinkat? Is it that I need higher HP (~350ish with this fit). How do you pic your battles? What do you do if you end up trapped or surrounded? Unfortunately, the Adv Min Scout suit isn't good enough PG/CPU to have what I need to survive so i run my proto suit. Don't worry, got plenty of isk. Obviously, any unproductive responses will be deemed...well....moronic.

The higher SP players you go against the higher the likely-hood that they are picking your minmatar scout up on radar disallowing your first strike. Dampening is a big deal when it comes to shotgunning. Keep playing to learn the wonky hit detection. You will have a hard time hitting people that strafe dance well. I tend to shoot with a slicing motion moving the reticle through the enemy timing your shot as close to them as possible. and for people not moving.....should never be a problem. oh yea, and be a big of a cheese-d1ck as you can chunking REs as nades or baiting heavies to follow you into a RE.

Getting rid of the 2nd KinKat would allow for the RE for sure. So do you think I should put another armor plate OR another damp. Doing 2 complex, plus 10%, plus 25% strong on cloak is: " With Cloak On" - (45 * .9) - (45 * .25) - (45 * (.25 * .87) - (45 * .25) = 8.5375 = 9db " Without Cloak On" - (45 * .9) - (45 * .25) - (45 * (.25 * .87) = 19.7875 = 20db Correct me if my math is incorrect or if the double damp is still no good. I'm finding that my double damp scout is still having issues so I'm not entirely sure it's worth it to do it. Again, any advice is appreciated.

One that is a little more eHP tanked for those matches you know have NO proto gal scanners or proto cal scouts and your damp suit for when they are there. I'd even say drop the precision enhancer on your damped suit and throw on more shield extenders. If your cloaked and invisible to scan, intel comes to you. Alot of the times I find myself in very heated areas, where I find myself hiding within the pack of 6-10 red berries waiting for that one person to drop his attention. The more of your team that's there to distract the better. regardless life is just a little more tough shotgunning as a minmatar.

So situational awareness helps, knowing what kind of proto f ucks your going against is key. If your cloaked and invisible to scan, intel comes to you. Surprised I didn't think of two loadouts to begin with. I'll def put the effort into a higher eHP fit and see where I can go from there. Thanks!
