The greatest thing about any shooter in gaming is that killing is fun and organize killing is even more fun, however balancing weapons, dropsuits and vehicles can be very hard because there will always be some exploitation somewhere on the battlefield. When you play Dust 514, you have so many choices to spec into so many different things but sometimes when you really wanna specialize into something fun to you and not what the popular over powered flavor of month special is you will be at a heavy disadvantage with the regret of ever choosing something that could've been fun for you but realized you would've been better going scout because the shot gun is over powered and the heavies are like walking terminators that wont take a dirt nap after shooting em with a armory of weapons and explosives. I hope one day you can get on Dust 514 spec into the things you like and still be competitive that's what makes battles fun knowing that everything can be effective if implemented properly on the battlefield.
I say again kill Timers on Planetary Conquest when it comes down to a war preparation is all you and your strong Corporation of mercs with the backing of a alliance is all you need. War Games 101 there is no time or a place on the face of the universe where time favors a man in war but only what he has trained and has prepared to do. NO TIMERS, ALL OUT WAR LET PLANETARY CONQUEST BE A PERSISTENT UNIVERSE ( DUST 514 ) IS A MMO NOT A STOP WATCH NO ONE SHOULD SET ANY TIMES AND A 24HR WAIT IS HORRIBLE. The problem with removing timers is players lose connection of ownership to there land, for when they go to sleep someone will flip it, and they won't own it anymore simply because there human body requires rest.
It's the problem with Planet Side 2, and what singles out Dust as a more interesting game. But I do wish they'd come up with some method of allowing real ownership and still allow more windows of opportunity for attackers and sabotage to take land and weaken district to be taken.

I'm not in favor of removing timers altogether. I think there should be a window of downtime that a corporation can set (say 8 hours). If districts are attacked outside of that downtime the battles spin up in 30 minutes to an hour.
I think this would change a LOT of things in PC and it would open up the playing field for more participation.

3 hours windows definitely, with the attacker deciding which hour in this 3 hours window. It sounds pretty balanced, doesn't it?
