Currently at rank 5 Sniper Rifle Operation you get a (+25% reduction to scope sway)
This is completely useless.
People have too much health for "quick scoping".
Even with the remaining scope sway it's enough to throw off precision.
You always take the half a second and crouch.
Every other light weapons operation effects the shots people make the most.
Cool down Reduction, Kick, Charge Time, Blast Radius, Lock on Time
These all have an actual effect on the fire rate / accuracy / effectiveness of the weapon.
Sniper Rifles (get effectively nothing) Anyone at CCP reading this feel free to comment.
Suggested bonus for Sniper Rifle Operation skill :
"Bonus Head Shot Damage" per level
"Increased Efficiency of Damage Mods" per level
Please "like" or bump if you find "Scope Sway Reduction" useless for Sniping.

Reduced scope sway is useful for more than firing while standing- it also means that it takes less time for the scope to stabilize when you're crouching, which is EXTREMELY useful for guerrilla snipers

I apologize.
It's labeled incorrectly. (not something new for CCP and skill descriptions)
It should be labeled something closer to scope sway stabilization.
I would go as far as to ask for the devs to keep the stabilization the way it is at 5, and change the skill.

Yeah maybe a little less than a second faster to stabilize from Rank 0 to Rank 5.
I graduated from the academy before there was one, and I don't make alts.

I think the sniper rifle needs one skill changed just not the op skill. I think the proficiency skill should be changed to increase the headshot multiplier of the weapon. (Make it like 7 or 8% to hs multiplier per level. Numbers could obviously be changed) I don't know I just think this would fit better for a sniper. I mean snipers are meant to takedown enemies in 1-2 shots and this would allow it to do that while also encouraging skill full use of the sniper rifle. |
