Proud Gunlogi pilot and forge gunner since August 2012. I fought and bled for the State on Caldari prime.

TheD1CK Dead Man's Game 1036	Posted - 2014.04.27 20:41:00 - [8] - Quote Well now..... the Minmatar Scout isn't your traditional Sniper fit ...... but I have quite often ran a fit with Knives/Sniper on my Matari Scout, it can be effective Your spot on with the High slots giving DMG mod possibility's, I'd add a Precision Enhancer And the lows are risky with dampeners, i'd use armour if I was fighting Assaults weapons Then use the Dampened fit when tracking enemy snipers .......... Caldari are King when it comes to Sniper fits, but Matari can adapt to a similar role Just my opinion, you may want to listen to a less reckless mercenary and use a real sidearm Note : Heavy suits are the best choice for cowards intent on hiding in redline 'D1CK by name' 'D1CK by nature'

You shouldn't need a sidearm - if you're doing it right. A NT-511 for Lights and Mediums and a Thales or Charge for Heavies. Putting the MO-4 Assault HMG back on the Killfeed one Merc at a time.

The Minmatar scouts aren't really designed for sniping, and if your SP is still low, you're best off getting a more flexible suit. Plus that damage to rail weapons will really help you out, even if you don't max out the suit. Nova Knives are OP! Nerf em before you lose all your proto suits!

If you want to be hard to find more than anything, use the Gallente scout and slap on some profile dampeners and a cloak. Avoid staying glued to your scope and if you see someone coming for you, get out of sight, use the cloak, and get the drop on them. Same thing works with the Caldari scout, except then you also want to put on a couple precision enhancers. You will see them coming the second they touch your passive scan range if you do it right. Caldari assault is good for tactical snipers if you have ranks in sniper reload. Caldari logistics is good for areas that require a dropship to reach due to their nanohive bonus. Caldari commando with a charge sniper and assault rail rifle makes a brutal combo for tearing apart people at any range. Amarr logistics is great for close tower sniping as you can seed drop uplinks and have a sidearm. Minmatar commando with a mass driver is great for any high ground. (Edit) Minmatar scout is also good...forgot about nova knife bonus, which is devastating with the cloak strategy I listed above. (End edit) So yeah...pick one that fits your style.
