Since the most recent hot fix they don't seem to be doing proper dmg anymore.
Got 3 down on a maddy's rear bumper last night and tossed 2 packed ex-11's into him then popped the REs...nothing. He rolled anyway, unsmoked. Hardener was not on.
Then in another match, I got 2 on the rear of a diva and 1 more on the side. 2 packed AV and a trigger pull later...nothing. No hardener on.
Myself and a squad mate have been trying for the last few days and can not get them to pop anymore. Anyone else having this problem?

Yep, it's happened to me as well. I haven't found a proper explanation yet.
According to 1.7 theory, any tank with 3 RE's on it, and especially its rear engine, was a dead tank. Now, they laugh it off. |

I have also noticed a decrease in effectiveness. Maybe more people are fitting more HP?
To explosives a madrugar/soma looks like:
1250 HP for shield 3333 HP for armor
and a gunnlogi/sica looks like this:
3312.5 HP for shield 1250 HP for armor
This means unless it has a hardner or plates/extenders on, 3 REs and 1 standard AV grenade should be more than enough to kill it.

Haven't had this problem myself... maybe they're putting on two plates? It seems like a possibility, considering the hardener nerf. Did you at least get vehicle damage WP from it, or nothing?

Since the addition of points for damage I have noticed less welfare tanks rolling around which could have something to do with it. I only say this cause when I get forced to pull out a militia rail tank it still gets beat up pretty good by remotes. |

It's only happened to me once or twice but never consistenly, also placing 3 REs on a tank's weak spot can kill an unplated/unhardened tank, wihtout the need for packed av grenades.

If you're stacking the remotes on top of each other, the stacked remotes won't damage the tank. I've had that issue with installations.

Haven't had an issue like this. Some tanks just have more meat to them I think is why some don't die to all three of my RE's.
But then again, not often do all three get placed on the rear end.

A plate could be the answer but there is a bug with RE's. The explosion doesn't work well on slanted edges. There are a couple videos, Pyrex has one, where a remote going off on an objective does zero damage to the guy hacking it. Has something to do with the explosion not existing as a true 3 dimensional boom-boom.
My guess is that they were stacked on top of each other which caused the problem. But is just a guess.

I am plugging this too. I have no proof just many tanks living through that seemed not to before. It is possible tanks are using plates now but pretty improbable.
I will make an effort to test the RE stacking.
While on the topic of AV...who in the world in CCP thought proxy mines should only do 750 damage? It takes somewhere in the ball park of nine proxies to kill a tank.
My thought is the proxy was forgotten about...when all changes in the tanks and vehicles speed and health were done no one remembered that this would make proxies useless. Also the scanner seeing proxy and REs...geez slap AV around much? |

I noticed RE troubles as well. In a couple different matches I triggered them and they did no damage at all. One case I laid three of them right down in an area where a heavy and a few others were going to go through, so I exploded them and then expected to instantly finish off whoever was left with the shotgun/smg. To my surprise, despite the fact 3 people were in the blast radius, no one took any damage at all and instantly killed me when i stepped out to mop up who was left.
The same thing happened when I put an RE down by an area that had a couple uplinks and a nanohive. I put it right in the center and blew it up and none of the equipment was destroyed. I thought what kind of **** was that?

I've looked directly at an RE on the wall when the enemy detonated it. Oddly enough, it killed the guy in front of me and the guy behind me, but left me completely unscathed. |

Just tested in Ambush:
3 RE's along the rear of a Sica. 2 others were attached and detonated prior; the tank had not fully recovered. One flux was prior to detonation. The tank survives with half armor, and the driver hops out as a Heavy with a HMG and mows me down.
I don't even care anymore. |

I've had this happen to me a couple of times when i got 3 re's on my ass see them detonate then received no damage it seems like lag but if your moving while there placed they seem to lag off then just slide into the air. Also is it just me or did they Nerf jihad jeeps cause I've haven't blow up yet by one this week when i do get jihaded they bounce off ram me again bounce off i kill them see them respawn do it again bounce off. I had some poor fellow one game try it 8 times and every time he caught me by surprise and rammed me going full speed and bounce off funny thing was i was using a blueprint sica tank lol with all militia mods. |
