Might help that you actually use and perform a role before you comment on it's performance , even more so if your asking to change the function and performance of that item or tools in that role .
A shotgun can 2 and three shot a heavy so should that get a damage reduction ..???.. scouts would have a field day lighting up the forums in contention , why ..??.. it's because that's what the shotgun is suppose to do ( I guess ) so when your dealing with a larger blaster on a tank  it shouldn't be easy to get away when you have opportunity to depart when you hear the sound of the tank and can check the mini-map , so that's ample time to seek cover .
Blasters take three to four shots and sometimes more , which is pretty comparable to the average handheld weapon but yet all I see on the forums is how they are overpowering to infantry . Get over it , three to four shots is a Shotgun on a heavy , CR or a Scrambler Rifle and hell the Scrambler Pistol is a auto headshot beast , well at least it was before they nerfed it like I've seen in the forums because I haven't used it in a while .That thing needed to be nerfed , it was way too easy to headshot someone while using a scrambler , I know how easy it was for me and I didn't even use that gun much .
When I use a blaster I can't one or two shot players and when on the ground I don't see players one or two shooting players while using blasters so if anything they are underpowered against infantry but they shouldn't mess with that gun because players think that they are invisible , hell run or find some cover .
Maybe they will hop out of their tank and one and two shot you with their Shotgun's and CR's .. I wonder would you like that instead ???
Stop asking for tiercide , your killing variety and the fun of this game at the same dam time .
