After watching Judge's video on cloaked scouts, I concluded that there ought to be only one issue that needed to be resolved with the Cloak; and that is the bug involving firing while being cloaked, even though it's about a second, being able to take off ~200 hp from the opponent is pretty advantageous and almost cheap.
However there needs to be a concession here, which is that when scouts shoot someone from the back, it doesn't matter if they were cloaked or not, and while this may seem obvious to many, it holds some serious merit. I say this because while people complain about the bug, they may be also generalizing this action to all scouts, and that my friends is not right. Many of the times while I'm fighting people, I shoot them in the back, because that's how I play as a scout, (in fact I even got "gg" mail for not being a tanked scout today even though it's slightly irrelevant). In fact I get most of my kills that way, sometimes I go head on but almost always I have a hard time getting the kill, because people almost always see me coming at them. Almost.
When the bug does get fixed, players really can no longer say, " I didn't even see him!" - because when the bug does get fixed, that's complete BS. Saying that when the bug gets fixed is literally telling the world that you either don't have a eyes, or you rely too much on your scanner. Of course there are some very lighted areas that make scouts harder to see, but this usually happens when scouts are farther away and it's a really bright map. The fact that a scout was able to get behind you and shotgun you're ass just means the scout has done his job properly; he no longer is held liable for "not being seen" because he was in fact not (unless you really were looking at your radar and a cloaked scout decloaked and shot you in the face, that's really just you're fault.

Seriously, thank you for this post. I thought to myself while responding to that Judge thread that I couldn't be the only one who sees the flaw in his argument. A little thinking and common sense thwarts it.

So what if you can't react 2 seconds faster, you'd be dead 5 seconds later. Stop stuffing yourself with alcohol, its why you don't drink drive.

Well it's actually true that within those two seconds, they lose a chunk out of their HP (as I said about 200 hp depending on the weapon, even 300 for a SG) but the point I'm making is that players will no longer have an excuse to rely on when the bug does get fixed.

The funny thing about his video was, when he has moving, you could see him anyway so lol. Most cloaked scouts I kill are about to kill my clueless teammate not knowing that I am tracking him down and using that blue as bait.
