The counter to a role/playstyle should never be itself, and it should alway. Otherwise that role becomes better than the other options, causing everyone who wants to remain viable to switch to that same role; effectively killing the diversity that serves as this game's 'selling' point, and creating a 'FoTM'.

Counter to AV should be infantry Counter to dropships and tanks should be AV Counter to sentinel should be attacking them with more than one person or high alpha weapons. Counter to mass driver is to fight then one on one with equal or better positioning. Counter to scouts is to stay in a group (dont run around by yourself as that is the scouts job) or heavies, or gal logi with scanners, or fused focused scanner (or whatever its called, with 15db precision)

Dark maps tend to make them show up very easily, almost embarrassingly so. Its actually the bright maps that make them harder to see, particularly if they're on the horizon line.
