Lonewolves, I am interested in your take on 1.8. With less grenades, nerfed SCPs and nobody to watch your back for cloaked shottys, are you feeling a little neutered in 1.8?

Maybe. I've gotten this little twitch from constantly checking my back. Get three seconds into a ninja hack and I jump and turn around before it is finished. I must look spastic. When I don't do this I have to grit my teeth and wait for the "WOOM" of a shotgun blast.
which reminds me of a joke. A women overheard two old me arguing, the first said "It should be spelled w-o-o-m". The second said "No, I'm quite sure it is w-h-o-o-m". This went on for awhile so the woman interrupted and said "Excuse me, the correct spelling is w-o-m-b". The guys looked at each other and one replied "Young lady, I think I know what my own fart sounded like".

I do miss my 3rd Flux, but I can manage.
I don't worry about Cloaked Shotties too much. It's a known glitch and all of those scrubs who abuse it will eventually go back to being the dumBerries they are.
My biggest beef is with AV, or a lack thereof. I went deep into Proficiency on FGs and they're still minimally effective against 5000 HP dragsters. I haven't bothered with SLs because FGs were always better AV but apparently that gap has widened from what I've read here. Why bother?

Using a Calscout with a combat rifle affords me the luxury of knowing exactly where said shotgun scout is at all times and having the power to destroy them instantly.
