How many DS did i/do i lose?... before or after which patch? before or after what vehicle patch? Are FG's working? What map?
I prefer... whatever works at the time?
The answer is "ForgeGun"... doesnt matter what the question is...

Mate, I think your questions will lead to incorrect results. Lots of pilots learn to fly in the safe zone in the back of skirmish, so they often do not lose a dropship. But this is due to their being no threats.
Most pilots measure the survival, not the loss of ships. They do this not on a per match basis but on a "a dropship lasts x number of matches" basis.
Many pilots today learned in tougher builds, or before the ADS.
I cannot even answer the question about how many I lose per match because if I say zero I means I never lose one ever, If I say 1 it means I lose 30 a day.
Perhaps we need to have a chat over this one, as I don't think your poll will provide meaningful data at all. Love your work, but this needs revision. When are you next on DUST. OR we could open voice in 1st airborne tonight and get a chat going with all the pilots there

I don't like to think about the number of dropships I lost.......I go to a dark place.....filled with pain...and suffering...... I learned to fly after gods foot....the lamp posts....the horror.....the horror! |

Have set the poll to expire Sunday next week, so spread the word!
@Judge: I learn (or fail to learn) by stealing reddot's dropships whenever I can, and then fly around in the middle of the map :)
(sidenote: guess I forgot to add "Getting my DS stolen by incompetent enemies and bluedots" to the list)

Yeah, all those cowards! I learned to fly dropship during the beginning of Chromosome and would try to pick up bluedots at objectives and take them to other objectives, all in the heat of battle. A painful experience. But yeah now I'm finding I can go a full day of Dust without losing a dropship sometimes, though on rare occassions I will still lose multiple ships in one match. It's definitely helped since I made the switch to only passive tanking on my ships, with the only active module being a afterburner. I'm more likely to pull out of shady situations early because I know it won't be that long before I can return to the fray. Also that large rail gun range nerf has certainly helped.
Amarr are the good guys.

Dropships need a buff. This way they can stop derping everywhere . ;_;

What do you qualify death due to knockback?
I mean, it could be a swarm, it could be pilot error, it could just be sh*t luck. Also, what about asshats who ram you when you have them on fire? Asshats should be an option.

My only nightmare when i use DS are other DS, friendly or not, if they touch me i'm instantly on fire.
The unnamed new build it's so secret that nobody know what will be in it, even after patch notes..

Yeah, I had to go with what I considered sane possibilities, based on me not being a Dropship pilot - I guess my imagination for what CCP consider sane just didn't go that far :)
