...making small turrets required on tanks once again?
My reasoning for this is that too many fitting resources are freed up by not fitting small turrets which makes it rather easy to fit maximum tank for personal benefits. If small turrets were required, I for sure wouldn't be able to fit a triple rep Maddy unless if I probably heavily invested some SP into the appropriate fitting optimization skills.
My Gunnlogi on the other hand, with near max skills, has only 1 free PG after fitting all complex modules, proto missile turret, and advanced small blasters.

Jesus ****ing Christ no. I will not return to the days of idiots hopping in my tanks and REFUSING TO GET OUT, just because "EHRMAHGERD IT HAS A TURRET". They get in, they shoot at nothing, they won't get out and they're only there to leach whatever warpoints I might earn while I have my vehicle out or try to steal it when I want to recall it. I seldom like *squad-members* in my tanks, why the hell should I have to put up with blueberries?
The ability to remove small turrets was something that the vehicle using community asked to have for a *long* time, do not try to dictate how they should play.
The best I'll give you is that MLT tanks should have secondary weapons fitted on to them.

I'm not a tanker but I have to say this is not a good direction to go in, because then randoms can get in their tanks and screw stuff up... the only way this would be viable is if they have to fit the turrets but can somehow lock people out from jumping in there tanks...I also don't think the extra fitting space would be a problem if av was properly balanced against tanks.
this game makes me sad....

This only way I'd would ever sign onto this would require full working locks and extraction/kick mechanisms |

I certainly would like to option to select whether my turrets appear at frontal armour, or are turret mounted.
I love operating HAV with atleast 1 other player....but you need both turrets active to even assign one to the turret position. This is a huge pain in the ass.
However what I would like to see for tanks is benefits, logically speaking, for allowing and including more players in your HAV. Currently its better to fit a tank selfishly for solo use...... that doesn't make sense to me.
If I coming 3 players to operating and HAV, surely it should be more efficient in a meaningful manner.

A succinct summary of the irony that is Dust player attitudes. AKA why this game's second worst enemy is its playerbase. |

I played through patches where randoms could get into my vehicles, every tanker *hated* it. There are multiple very good reasons why it was done away with and the largest was community outcry. You could spend 10+ minutes in the redline waiting for blueberries to get out of your ****ing vehicle. It was awful and needed to go and it did.
If I have extra turrets on my tanks now I still have random blueberries hop in and shoot at absolutely ****ing nothing until they drain the turret of ammo. Or we'll drive right up to a point that can be hacked with zero hostiles around and they won't get out and hack anything.
If you're not on voice coms with me you don't deserve to be in my vehicle let alone manning a weapon, and even if you are you'd probably be more use to the team somewhere else.
