Let me tell you this secret now. If your running the 2 damage mod fit, there's NO need to run proto rail. The damage is so high that a basic or militia rail 2 shots noobs and vets. I also use my 120mm armor plate BPO and my heavy armor rep BPO. It's 174k tanker buster, down from my original 500k plus fit which did the same exact job. I forgot I got those tank bpo's before the increased price. If you have skills, you don't need proto, just ask the slayers that run militia just for laughs. Hope this helps.

Why tank that ship? That's just a waste of ISK unless you actually plan or expect to be PvPing with it.

Dude just come in a battleship and no one will come near you for about 10 mins..... time it will take to get a gang together and reship....roughly.

I like your theory...but 2 damage mods is a no no. If you miss a few missles you better expect to be shot at while your reloading, and you better have reload level 4 or maxed to use missles effectively. Use 2 hardeners and 1 damage mod, that way you can tank the blaster or rail hitting you while you reload GOD FORBID. And a 120 plate and heavy rep. This saved me against addict punk in his proto rail gunny...need I say more?

Incredibly scrubby fit, and I hate having to take it out. I can't even call people that roll those all the time tankers, because they run away right back to their redline before their modules turn off. I developed my driving to a point where I keep a rail Madrugar out of the redline all the time, except when I need ammo.

It's the same as when all someone does is roll around in a LAV with PRO gear, and that's all they do, all day. It's a little smart, yeah, but you can't develop your intelligence on the battlefield by doing that.

Agreed, but when the aim is to win, you find the best advantage available. Now I'm no scrub driver, I have excellent tactical and situational awareness. You most often never even see me coming, and if you do, I'm using cover to my advantage, drawing you into my trap. I watch and stalk all tanks on the field, but typically I gain redline control and drop bolas and whatever cargo they have has it comes in (map dependent)

After all, I only need 2 or 3 shots to OHK ANYTHING.

I call it Judg3m3nt, using the 3's for e's so everyone knows how l33t it is... but seriously, if this thing fires first it wins, period. The plate and repper ensure enough time to get a couple shots on a blaster tank even if you are blindsided, and that's all it takes.

Head to Head with another rail that's properly tanked means you could maybe die, but as you said, it you have good situational awareness and/or squadmates calling out enemy vehicles it is like taking candy from a baby.

This is the poster child for Glass Cannon.

Why use enhanced plate over complex? Too much of a speed penalty in your opinion?
