There is a map idea I would like to share and hopefully see : a vertical map.
The area would be inside a canyon or a crater and NULL canons control point would be at different level (canons would still be on surface though). There would be multiple ramps and stairs to get to one side to the other and to one level to another. We could also actually jump from a ramp down to another to access lower points or CRU, while still needing to climb stairs or ladders to get back up. Grenades tossing and other projectile weapons would be fun to play there. I think such a vertical gameplay would break the small boring feeling we can have with current horizontal map (I've heard you're tired of running ?).
I can see HAV pilots won't like such map, but dropships could have some fun thereGǪ maybe splitting points could balance the thing like 2 canons points on the surface for horizontal lovers (HAV :P) and 3 points inside a canyon ? |

I would like the idea of a map with increased verticality, like a canyon or something.
However, I mainly use sniper & heavy, and I think, the snipers would have a big advantage while the heavies would be sitting ducks there...
But with some carefully planning and architecture, it could work... |

On that same thought though, it makes sense that some environments put certain classes at and advantage and others at a disadvantage. It's really no different than we have now.
And we USED to have a Canyon map *cough*CraterLake*cough* but it was deemed unsuitable for the current game modes.
Vertical maps are legit though, I like feeling like a map exists in 3 dimensions and not just 2.
Like my ideas?

I definitely would like to see more vertical gameplay. I'm pretty upset they've been removing ladders from maps, because while they're not always a favorite method of getting around, they provide much needed vertical variety to gameplay.

I think the reason I love gallente research facility is its extensive 'interior' playable area and multiple vertical levels to play on. It pretty much has everything I love in a map.
Like my ideas?

+1 I'd like this very much. I'd also like more interactive maps in general. For example, say we're raiding an enemy hav production facility or something and they have some half completed ones or just a working turret we could use it.
