What do you consider the ultimate set of builds/roles for a 6 man infantry squad?
For me, its probably.
1 Cal scout (radar) 2 min logis (built for medic type support, bonus if 1 or both is also a decent shooter) 3 slayers (build unimportant as long as they are good at it)
What is your take on the ultimate infantry squad?

2 Scouts - 1 for Scans, 1 for placing Uplinks 3 Heavies - because Kills = Wins 1 Logi - to keep the Heavies up and stocked.

Attack squad?
I would say
At least 1 Gal Scout At least 1 Gal Logistics 1 Minmatar Commando 2 assaults, preferably not Caldari(their gear focuses on distance and siege warfare rather than up close and high offense)

Equipped with Wyrikomi Nanite Injectors.
You couple High Damage mobile flankers with area denial weaponry with high EHP Point attack and Defence troopers.

Too many variables. Is it only your squad?
Who has tanks covered?
Who are you facing?
What is the map like?
etc etc
If tanks were covered,
then
1 Scanning Decepticon Gal Logi
2 Minmatar Logis with Core Repair tools,- one spawns as a Caldari Logi first to establish hives, the other first spawns with all uplinks
2 Amarr/or Gallente Heavies, max Armour
1 Scout to watch Logis backs, or to flank enemy Logis
Great for holding down fortifications, not advised for open engagements, your Logis would get shredded

The hitboxes in Heavies are HUGE, meaning when they start taking damage (most likely from a CR), they REALLY start taking damage. Even with the Six Kin Dual repper, it still isn't fast enough to keep heavies topped off, you NEED that core repair tool, even with that with enough hostiles, that will still be barely enough. In my mind, I'm thinking "WTF man" when I'm healing my heavy at 156 hp/s and his health is still being drained at an alarming rate.
That repped heavy needs to stay by cover and peek in and out to allow himself to be healed. Having your Logi exposed is a big no no. |

1 fully proto maxed cal scout (in tell and flank wach and up link placement )
2 heavies with hmgs (crowd control.
1 assault ( to mop up behind the heavies )
1 dam good logi with reper, hives and a needle. (Keep those heaviesIin action. )
and 1 Gunnlogi rail tank . (To destroy everything )

For pubs just a gal logi with allotek hives, 2 scanners, and an uplink. With another logi with more nanohives,including rep hives, and one uplink. With 4 heavies. Amarr or gallente. For pc, 3 logis or scouts, 3 heavies. On open map pubs, 6 tankers. In ambush, 2 tankers 4 scouts, with scans and cloaks.

If we are running out of ammo per assault point we aren't Commandoing right.
If Vehicles enter the map and we cannot switch out to AV, we aren't Commandoing right.
You'd be surprised how little ammunition you need when you have 6 dude all with a natural 10% bonus to their weapons and a myriad of possible fitting solutions.
