well my fanfest adventure got off to a great start.....the engine failed at take off lol..luckily we were on the ground. then we wait 5 hours for a repair that they said would take 1-2 hrs then they cancel it for 24 hrs.

here's hoping for a better day tomorrow.

at least i wasn't alone as all the dust/eve players found each other eventually and are now living it up in our hotel thanks to icelandair

I bet at least 1 guy brought his PS3 with him and is playing in his hotel room right now.

FanFest 2014 is a little over a week away and it's going to be EPIC! Not only will there be roundtables, presentations, and the popular keynotes, we're having Iceland's own rising MMA star Gunnar Nelson take on 10 CCP developers in the cage! And there's a ton of other fun stuff to look forward to as well.

I wonder how much money this cost CCP over the last few months?

I'd love to hear a factual explanation of why CCP ignored the seemingly obvious warnings from the CPM about announcing Legion in this way? Months later I can't think of it from an angle where it makes sense to announce it this way. The only thing that makes sense is that someone maliciously set it up that way. A human brain functioning properly doesn't think customers would enjoy hearing their game is shutting down in such a manner.

I wish CCP would start talking up the possibilities of Legion to PS4 and/or just some freakin updates about the progress of Legion.

It won't take much to keep Dust going and possibly thriving in the interim. We are obviously clinically addicted if we stuck around after the epic fail of FF 2014.

The obvious reason is that they wanted to milk the Dust players as much as they could before announcing Legion (see all the events leading up to Fanfest) as they knew the Legion announcement would put a damper on that. I'm sure they would have waited even longer if they could, but not getting any Dust news at Fanfest and after would give it away anyway, so they were forced to announce it there.

They already said they want to port to PS4 at some time, but not until Legion is released and doing good on PC. I don't see any reason for this to change as developing for both at the same time is idiotic and there's no way they're going to **** off their EVE players by swifting the whole development from PC to PS4.

Developing a game takes a lot of time, so I don't really see why you would expect daily, weekly or even monthly updates on the state of the game. The release of Legion is likely still a year+ away.

At fan fest y'all announced no neocom, so those of us you told to go buy a vita wasted money. You hyped up fan fest and the dustkeynote only for the legion bait and switch... Those of us you sold a PS move, sharpshooter, LE ps3, etc.... That's right those of us you sold a decade long game to... The few that really have invested more than just hundreds in this game... You bent us over and didn't even use any Vaseline. And aside from combat balancing this game is going nowhere. The assassin class (minja) I understand was intentionally broken so as not to have a "bestest attainable stat" (Thx assholes) and also to replace its one true assassination strike("biotic augments make this suit ideal for a melee focused role"..."while integrated friction and impact dampening materials reduce the overall sound signature") with a hack speed bonus that makes it one of the most middling to unimpressive hackers in the game and instead of the profile dampening described we... Oh wait, one bonus got changed the other was just eliminated. So now here I am suckered in with the dream(single shard massive multiplayer online cross genre realtime tactical roleplaying game) made poor and angry, with my entire character built around a role that's been shat on every time anything gets changed, and why?! It was already so weak why break the one thing it could do??? If someone cries melee = op you laugh at them and say then put away your gun! But no, that's not dust, so here I fixed the description "biotic nerfs make this suit ideal for repeated suicide attempts at no benefit to the user"..." While limited low slots and lack of dampening ensure the unit is more easily targeted than other scouts and more easily killed than any other class"... And y'all still have the only mmo in the whole world without a market/auction/trade feature... And y'all want me to build a gaming PC now bc I didn't spend enough already? Jsyk when the time comes for that IMA tell y'all **** off and biomass like everybody else will but I'd at least like to hope that instead this game may have a future. Worst mmo ever? No... This isn't a game/its a chat app with a combat tech-demo attached. Planetary exploration, player owned warbarges, expanding the battlefield(more vehicles etc) and especially especially a player market are needed to make this game not a joke of an mmo because the lobby shooter effect here is damned unbearable. Exactly what were the "good points" about this last fan fest? Are those of us who felt cheated, lied to, and robbed wrong when you said you'dspend our money on one thing and blew it on something else(that we didn't want didn't ask for and again isn't what we paid for) some of us only play dust and are you going to buy us the PC we could have afforded if you hadn't sold us all this **** that's just become trash now???

You seem so matter of fact about it. If true, if not just a massive fail, why not just develop Legion while half-ass releasing crap for Dust and keep bringing in money? Then next Fan Fest have something to actually present?

Who ******* cares about what Eve players think about Legion to PS4? Dust built it's base with console players.
