Or nerfed to the point where you need something other than Base HP if you want to last against AV?

A armor hardener offers 25% at all levels, that is equal to 1000hp, 2 proto reps can give you 361 i think so in 3 seconds you have regained that 1000hp
Hardener is useless now and a plate just makes you slower while you cut your reps in half
We now have less skills, less mods, less slots, less vehicles, less variety so less playstyles |

Triple rep maddys are strong vs solo AV troops and other blaster tanks, with the exception of Ion cannons.
They are also extremely vulnerable to missile tanks, forge guns (when they're finally fixed), and any level of railgun. those maddy drivers are over confindent and i find they tend to fall into AV traps, such as proximity mins on known vhicle bottle necks.

Are hardeners useless, or are Reps far too effective and the reason for stacking?
Could it be similar to the reasoning of Sentinels tendency to stack enhanced plates over complex because its far more effective for our suits, making the complex plate for Sentinels "useless"? |

For me
Hardeners are now useless
As for reps the old active could rep back like 5k armor i think, but now they are passive when really shield regen should be passive and always rep back x amount per second while armor is originally active
If the reps get nerfed then we have useless hardeners and useless reps and plates are pretty crap also
The entire vehicle tree needs to be redone because its all ******

Then wouldn't a simple solution be to continue to nerf them a bit more to remove the HAV's huge force mutlplier and make them susceptible to destruction, while reducing the cost to be in line with dropsuits? You would still have a higher TTK then any dropsuit due to your stats, would still be extremely effective against AI and AV, and not cost a dime more then your infantry AV counterpart?
Or is it truly unacceptable to die multiple times in a match like infantry have to? And also like infantry, squadding with a competent group could mean you might not die at all. This is not good? |

the problem is, vehicles shouldn't even be in this game. They are so far out of balance, and whenever they try to bring them into balance with infantry, the vehicle people scream foul play, and cry until CCP buffs them, or nerfs AV, which is where we are at right now, so the AV guys are crying foul play...
It's a ridiculous see-saw effect that will only be fixed by either removing vehicles, or maybe adding in MTAC's, which may be the great balancer in damage and HP. fast enough to evade tanks, small enough EHP to be destroyed by infantry, etc.
However, I think a good way to nerf tanks is to nerf that tracking speed. it's ridiculous that a tank can track infantry, when in EVE, a large turret can't even lock on to a small target. |
