So, for the first time today, I realized that scan prec helps vehicles determine where you are. I know this b/c my complex damp scout while in cloak was getting shot at by an adv gal scout at 50 meters like it was nothing.
I'm against 99% of AV buffs and Vehicle Debuffs. But I have to say, if you are in your vehicle then you shouldn't see sh!t...period. That's just absurd. |

Please no. No. Tell me it's not so. Tell me it's not possible to run a 4 precision amped Calscout with double range extender in a tank and permascan everything.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

No, it doesn't work. Every Vehicle has its own scan radius/precision (which cannot be modified with any module).

Vehicles have their own scan precision that supersedes any dropsuits while they are in it - it does not matter if they are pilot or passenger. I *have* tested this, before and after 1.8 with an obliging gallente scout friend and with myself as a caldari scout. You get the vehicles listed scan range and scan precision if you are in it.

Vehicles have their own scan profile and precision.
Unfortunately, their profile is bugged. It's meant to be something stupid like 200, but I think they left off the "2" in that equation. Or both the 0s. |

Because it's not within your 10m scan range - you prettymuch have to be standing on top of it for it to pick up on your passive scans, unless you're a caldari or gallente scout.

Ok so then it is likely a shared scan precision that the squad member in the tank was seeing? That would make sense and in that case my complaint is invalid

I tried it too running amps and rangers and nothing happens out of the ordinary .
I started using my Cal scout suits , just to see what would happen while operating vehicles and no you don't get the bonuses to work while operating vehicles .
That's just not correct .
Stop asking for tiercide , your killing variety and the fun of this game at the same dam time .
