What is the Role of FW? Is it meant for New Players or for those who don't do PC. In FW I usually fight players Advance and up(and usually kick with STD Suit and ADV Weapons), but of course there's the odd militia noobs. In rare matches you can be put in a team with a bunch of noobs and the next it's a competitive match(both sides running ADV and up). I don't do PC because I haven't earned Proto, so I resort to FW. So what is the role of FW?
P.S I did FW today and came in with our MCC having Quarter Armor. I got 8th place with 1 death and 50 WP, let that sink in for a moment.
Well, time to go Commando. Fill the Ranks at 703rd.

Pubs are a joke because there is no incentive to win. The ISK payout is more or less the same either way and you get your SP regardless. FW is a step between pubs and PC imho. It makes winning/losing more relevant and offers the friendly fire dynamic to make it a bit more tactical than pubs. Also it's where you go for AUR type gear without paying the AUR (aka lower level requirements on gear).
My main issue with it is that it takes way too long but me and my corp mates enjoy the matches when we get in and winning a match is the best feeling cause you know you're making progress.

These are both true statements, good and bad. It's more or less intended to be a higher quality of battle without the investment needed for PC. I take it from the OP's post that it was likely either Caldari or Amarr FW.
I feel your pain. Despite my best efforts, I think I am stuck at level 4, almost 5 standings and people like the PIE core group, better players than I who are even more dedicated to the Empire's cause are not much higher.
(Although in Aero Yassavi's case it's more because he TK's so much. It's like a sickness. )

I usually stick to defending the Home base to prevent redlining or an outside point. I rely on the rest of the team to push the center while I draw attention to the outside. But if my team can't push I become outnumbered. (You'd be surprised how well I defend outside points against protos with my STD Commando)

I've come to the conclusion that until the CR is nerfed from its insane OPness, we Amarrians will never gain that much ground because everyone and their mother is playing in Min FW to get LP to go towards their sweet sweet OP CR's.
I could list the ways how we Amarr are better than you, but your lesser mind wouldn't comprehend it.

How many Republic Combat Rifles do you see in use again?

Perhaps it's because we play on different servers, but I've yet to see a single person use a Republic CR outside of FW, and I highly doubt that's the case considering how there's only 1 Combat Rifle in the LP Store.

Got Pics?
Perhaps we should hit up that G Torq dude and ask him to pull the market data for Republic CRs.

It's to fight in a contextual situation in order to fit into an existing conflict within New Eden. I would say it's an inbetween of public matches and PC, depending on your opposition it can be very competitive, you can make use of the EVE Dust link, and over time attempt to shift sovereignty in your favour.

Don't forget about the PIE channel if you are not already in it. Organization is critical for the Imperial Guard's Success!
(Not this week though, the wait times are too long. Normally I don't care if I cap or not, but gotta grind out that 3x SP, my scan/precision core skills should finally be maxed out by the end of the week!)
