I'm feelin' tryhardy. What's a good kb/m setup for Dust that's not gonna be super expensive? I just want to try it out.
I spent half my ISK on gambling, alcohol and wild women. The rest I wasted.

AA on (if you are really a TryHardGäó)
You will see how f*cking broken the AA in this game really is. I have tried it, and it is riduculous, turned it off quickly to not be a scrub.

I was just googling that GIMX thingy after I saw you mention it in the other thread. I don't understand why it's better? Is it just better at emulating the input then plugging directly into the PS3? Also, do you adjust the resolution in the game settings or the ps3 settings? Thanks.

GIMX is just flat out way better than the controls in Dust. But if you wanna just try it for cheap get a logitech MK120 keyboard and mouse. Its one of the few HID compliant devices that is compatible with the PS3 while remaining affordable.
I can guarantee you're gonna hate the kbm setup on Dust though, mostly because its absolutely garbage now after they intentionally broke it in 1.4. |

Take their advice. KB/M is more like Hardmode without using a DS3 emulator. Personally I would go for a Vemon X if you can get one, as it's compatible with PS4 & Xbox1. I still use native support mainly because Dust isn't worth that much of a $$$ investment on my part. |

The GIMX calibrates the parameters related to mouse sensitivity, mouse acceleration with 2 decimal precision. This means that you can effectively cancel out the acceleration and get true linear input.
You need to set your resolution in the XMB to 576p, and the resolution in Dust is set to it as well. Dust runs in 720p that is upscaled to 1080p by default. Lowering the resolution drastically reduce the input lag for KB/M.
If you do the above, you solved all the mouse issues in Dust (linearity and input lag), and can enjoy decent controls!!
