All these complaints about cloaks, and all these way of how to fix them, but you're all overlooking the most reasonable and indisputably best method for dealing with them....

Funny, because you just described "Spy Checking" in that game. Spy's have the ability to blend in as an opposing team member(even having the exact health and name of another player on the team) and like Scouts here are high risk/high reward gamestyles. Pyro's with flamethrowers usually perform "Spy Checks" by flaming their team mates to ensure that none of them are a spy trying to blend in because the Spy will burst into flames and shortly die thereafter while people on their team will not. |

Too bad that won't work in Faction Warfare.

FLAMETHROWERS
because they can't hide if they're ON FIRE This idea, it has a certain charm.
But we have to get the audio right, so please CCP, be a dear - when they're burning from the nanite napalm, can you make sure they sizzle, pop and scream? That would be lovely.

Bro, I've been lobbying for flamethrowers for over a year. Seriously think that a fire-based Minmatar heavy weapon would be very welcome. Then again, I also think that a BIG. MOTHER. HUMPING. LASER. would be a great addition. :D

Would love some kind of flamethrower as a Heavy Weapon, as well as moltov grenades that do burn damage over time in an area and to those caught in the initial blast.

It's an old saying from TF2
When playing as a spy: "If the entire team is paranoid as f**k, or is mostly Pyro's, your'e doing your job right"
Same in here.
If you are playing as a scout, and see everyone checking their six every two seconds, running in LARGE groups, and just generally acting really jumpy, you are doing your job right as well
Also. Meet the Pyro

Hilarious--my friend was just telling me about TF2 yesterday at brunch. Sounds like a fun game, but that spy-checker mechanic is ridiculous!
