Ok, so I'm an FG by trade and I've got no equipment slots which means I have to have buddies or I have to run to a supply depot to change suits. np, kinda works. But, with the Predator cloaked shotgunners running around I'm a sitting duck most of the time. Or I have to spend time scanning 360 degrees to see what may be coming at me. For a FG, spinning around with pauses to see Predator dude are shots lost. I consider that a nerf.
Throw in that all vehicles have fast moving 360 degree scanners that can race by me at 80mph, mark me and my minutes are numbered seems a bit skewed.
So, give us FGs a break with some kind of warning like a droppable scanner or built into the suit. Even if it's range is like 10', it's better than nothing. Of course a slot to carry it would be ideal but I'll manage. Do whatever you have to do to even it out. I guess I could get a vehicle with a scanner but that's a huge target.

I love the idea of more deployable equipment. As a Gallente logi I would be happy to drop them around areas where fatties like to hang out. As for scanner built into the suit, you have one. But you need to upgrade it to pick up anything small :) |

Yeah, that'd be a cool option. Instead of the narrow beam a handheld scanner gets, you get the full 360, but it's stationary, which makes it more useful in some situations, and less useful in others.
