Gal scout with 87 shields and 300 armour pre being shot in the face.
0 shields and 280 armour post being shot in da face.
Was using a GN-20(or whatever the advanced model is called) with no prof or dmg mods vs a std Gal scout.
We were both pretty shocked that it didn't kill or really even hurt that much. We were just messing around since nobody was really doing anything to push the city. It was kind of sad, maybe the flaylock should get a buff to direct dmg?

Im all for a flaylock buff, hated it back when it was op but now its just laughable. |

Yeah, I'm also kind of wondering if the dmg is bugged. It should have done way more dmg to the guys armour.

The Flaylock Pistol is the trashiest weapon in this game. Hell, Pyrex only gets kills with it because he has the things maxed out and runs two Core Flaylocks.

I got a few people yesterday with the GN-13s, but it's not a reliable tool like the Magsec, ScP, or my little buddy, Mr SMG.
Those, in their STD variants, can function as a main weapon. I think a damage buff would make them seem OP. An increased magazine (6 shots) would probably be a more appropriate adjustment that most could live with.

Flaylock is bad, yes, but explosives do -20% damage to shields.

I think if you leave splash dmg alone, increase the direct dmg and maybe the slightest increase to splash radius, then it would be useable again.
And when I say slightest, I mean .15-25 and that would only be for std and advanced. Proto splash radius seems to be in a good place.

i used a flaylock last night because I had one in my inventory for some unknown reason. Did you know the flaylock has a stun effect if you shoot it as someone? Yeah, the merc stays frozen until the person regains control of their laughter and picks the controller back up.
