It doesn't matter anyway. It's a free game. Folks going to check it out for a few and then probably leave because of the uphill challenge or should I say, wolves that are ready to feast on fresh meat. At this point, the NPE argument is tiresome.

I have been meaning to make an alt and run them after Joseph is capped to see how much of the terrible NPE is caused by just not knowing the game rather than only having basic frames and militia gear. Like if someone that was familiar with the game, knew the maps, not to run head first into Heavies that have a yellow beam coming from behind, and generally know about fittings if they could still do decent.
How much of it is being unfamiliar with the game (easy to fix with a PvE mode or tutorial; "this is an assault rifle: it doesn't work against tanks") and how much is SP? Basically, if someone played other FPS, were extremely familiar with EVE's fitting concept, and read a bunch online how to spend SP would they have the same result of just getting put into a meat grinder head first?

There are new players in this game. I have taught 5 and have lost them due to stomp. My last student(Aika who was from EVE) was my last hope but he ended up hating the game and even posted his experience here in the forums.
Well, time to go Commando. Fill the Ranks at 703rd.
