Considering that Minmatar "OP" weapons (I think they're fine personally) are meant for glass cannon Minmatar drop suits, maybe CCP should make CPU & PG penalties for combining mixed racial weapons and drop suits? I'd imagine it'd force people to use like racial weapons with like racial suits for the most optimal build for their weapon or drop suits, but of course all racial variants would have to be released. |

Nobody should be forced to use a racial weapon if they don't want to use it.
Encouraged? Yes. But you shouldn't outright PENALIZE someone for wanting to use a scrambler on their minmatar fit

I disagree. Each racial tech is designed radically different race to race. My thought is like using emulation to use software or hardware that isn't normally compatible. Each weapon should be the most compatible with the drop suit tech it was designed originally to operate with. If that weapon isn't the same tech (ie Amaar and Minmatar are two vastly different technologies), it would need some sort of "emulator" (ie extra CPU or PG) to allow that tech to operate properly with other racial variants. Like I said before, all racial variants would have to be released before that could become a possibility. |

I agree. It's the same thing with cloaks going on non-scouts. Usable, but not practical. |

What about when your racial weapon is a POS? Double penalty.
