In EVE a ship fitting can be one of the most closely guarded secrets a pilot has, they're secret sauce. If you're killed, then the player that killed you gets a mail that includes the layout of your fit.
I think Dust should have a similar mechanic where you get to see the fits of the mercs you kill. That way if someone is doing extremely well and you happen to kill them you can get some insight and potentially improve your game by looking at fits of good players, but you have to earn it. |

Everyone one I'd kill would be brick tanking.... Everyone who'd of killed me will see nothing but ewar mods and wonder how the f- I am destroying them.

Killing another player in Dust is too regular of an occurrence to have killmails.
We have orbital strike killmails and i think those are enough. You can find out about players' fits that way, for instance, here is my main fit.

No thanks we get our kills on dust quickly. Not just flying 6 hours around finding nobody. But what i would like to know is how much ISK i destroyed in a match and how much i lost. Ya know a ISK ratio how effective you are.

Yeah, I mean, there are plenty of people who get thousands of kills a week. There's probably not enough variety in fittings in dust, tbh, for it to be that big a deal.

I would expect it only to be for the duration of the last game, not a more permanent thing. That way you can look at the fits of people you're interested in, but it doesn't persist past the last game played. That'd keep it from getting ridiculous. |

I would like to see it after the match. Who you killed with what and who killed you. Not saved past matches because that would be way too much.

Kills are too fast, maybe like your final kill it gets you the mail thing, but other than that id consider it a bit worthless, its not like im gonna copy the persons specs. Seeing as i killed him my specs are obviously better right? |
