This is the reality, You will be protostomped pretty much every day of your Dust career. The closest you will ever get to doing well is to join a training corp or an academy.
Theirs R O N 1 N who specializes in training scouts and many other training corps.
Also 0uter.Heaven Academy which is really just a corp to help you start out and help you with what skills to skill into and to squad up with players. |

Join the Dust Academy or Immortal Guides, they can really help new players. I recommend you join the Academy first so you get the basics down, and once you choose your role then go to Immortal Guides. Once you're done with that look for a corp with friends.
Well, time to go Commando. Fill the Ranks at 703rd.

How are you doing on ISK? I advise looking into making a suit that is functional but runs under 10k isk for general use in your perferred role.

Yes, any new game or endeavor you might face offers a challenge to your determination, will, and your fortitude. I was a new player once. And with determination to get better, I licked my wounds and fought back harder. Do not be discouraged. Training corporations are good. Squad Finder can be helpful. Joining a corporation suitable for you (training one or not) can be invaluable. Youtube videos. Watching Streams of other players. Reading information on forums. Use every available resource to increase your battlefield knowledge.
The key is to learn from each match. You will become battle hardened with time.
OUKH corporation recruitment active. Initiate enlistment protocols. The future is now

The easiest thing to learn is that it's entirely about getting better. Many situations are simply random chances of death - you press alot of buttons and push sticks, but really it's a crap shoot.
Don't beat yourself up for not being able to make random chance fall your way. |

you guys are ridiculously just bad at universally all shooter games if you cant consistently have a positive KDR after 3 months worth of SP. Thats a bit too much.....
Been playing for not even 4 weeks yet and I'm going positive kdr like every match and still haven't even broke 4 mil SP. |

Yes, when you first start you'll get stomped. But you can get competitive in a role within six months. After that point you can join the ranks of protostompers if you're a good player. A good player with 10mil SP will slaughter a bad player with 40mil. |

Try going as a heavy/miltia heavy frame. When i get into a match with proto scouts, i just annoy em with my militia amarr heavy frame.

- Yes, SP play a big role in this game. But, people do get sick of the game and move on to other things in there life.
- There are also passive boosters & active boosters to move up in rank faster
- There is also AUR to get things faster & make it so you don't have to have as much SP or skills to get what you need.
- There are Schools and people who are willing to train you.
- Last one... Don't forget about brain power. Just because someone has more SP then you does not mean they are any better at the game then you. If you play the game smart you can beat them every time.
I think the makers of this game did a good job making it fair. Just have to keep playing and get better that's all there is to it just like any other game.

Hey Terminus Dwyryd, I remember you from when I first started three months and nine days ago. Are you sticking around or are you leaving DUST |

I will be sticking around for sure as this is the only game I have on the PS/3 and sometimes if I can't sleep at night and the missus has zonked out I may get a game or two on. One thing that I won't be doing is to buy AUR for the game. In fact, I have just bought some AUR to get a rifle and a Passive SP Multiplier but when these are gone and the multiplier has gone I won't buy others and just keep on using the in game stuff.
I will be keeping on until the servers go cold but, to be honest, I am glad that CCP are rebuilding the game as it is a bit of a disappointment (then again my knowledge of twitch 'em up games since the early Doom is nil so I could be wishing for more than what is reasonable).
What I am doing is learning more about the art of sniping and putting down uplinks. I'm having fun trying not to get killed (we greybeards no longer have synapses of copper so direct combat is not an option) but it's fun finding new angles and tactical angles in game.
But I will be staying until the last battle when the clone count will take ten hours for each player to kill the opponent the required 120 times...

That's a strange attitude.
Every game has a finite lifespan, sooner or later everything dies. If the game can be played for free or for low cost then there's no issue. At the end of the day one pays for one's amusement.
Look around at the games that you accumulated for your machines. Are you still playing them all or have they been finished in one way or another? If so, then why did you spend time on that game knowing that it will finish.
Just because something is about to finish at some undisclosed point in the future doesn't mean that it's not worth exploring. I bet that the next game that you choose will also have an undertermined shutdown date too.

many of you may know me already and for those who don't i am a long time player. I will be creating a corp with my alt called "player experience", seeing how ccp has lowered it, its up to us as a community to make it better. if i can some how get nyain to give or sell me that planet here is what i would offer to you all.
free pc practive and experience to smaller or newer corps, meaning you don't have buy a clone pack, that you would be able to use my corps districts to send the clones off of instead. i would be the middle man. you pick the corp or corps, contact them set the rules and regulations youd like set, or have me contact them and the clones get sent,
free pc for larger corps, again me being the middle man, youd be able to battle your own corp mates and set up strats and practice.
if i get the whole planet i would be able to offer to the community for those who use my corps districts 2-3 million isk per player , just for experiencing pc, its my way of trying to give back to the community. as well as a way to try and stabilize the market a little.
for experienced field commanders, if you wanted to ring one, i would pay them 5 mil for their time and help in training. i do know quite a few in the game that would be more then happy.
their are corps with districts that are friendly and willing to practice with you.
also, say their are corps (2) that neither have districts, myself with my alt corp, and shepherd grey, could let your two corps duel it out to settle issues and to prove whose the better corp, so for those who have corp rivalries but they dont have districts and neither do you, NOT a problem. with capital acquisitions llc and "player experience" we can fix that.
also, i have contacted an individual that if you wanted the pc recorded from the over view map to watch later and to break down what could have been done differently. that he would be willing to participate for a fee, that is on him to charge i can not control, he said he would take payment in dust, eve, or paypal. again not my control. just putting it out there.
as of right now nothing is set in stone, im looking to see the communities support and to see who would be interested in send clones with a third parties districts instead of paying for clone pack. and again all is free, after pc is over i go through list and payouts are given as if it were a real pc. win or loose. we dont need legion or the game on computer, we can make it good still on ps3 in hopes it goes to ps4. i will play dust till they shut me off.
things that would hold this up or back, i would need AE ,Nyain, DDb ,cap and the rest of general tso alliance on board and aware of my doings, and if its not working out would give the districts right back being as i will be the sole member with maybe 3 or 4 active people max to help with the logistics side of it all . yes its a lot of work, but i truely do love dust, and id like to try and improve it .
love me or hate me. you kill me i hunt you.
