I skilled into sniper rifles. I tried one of my 93 Thale's TAR-07, for 4 consecutive matches.
Total kills = 63 total deaths = 1.

Nice! I usually get around 10-15/0 with a Charge per match, so I'll have to try a Thales next time I'm sure I won't be countersniped! I keep wanting to try one, but only have 3...
My other dropsuit is a Python.

Cal "thenotsoglassycannon" A-series Heavy.
I made this post not because I'm good at sniping, in fact I made it because I really suck at sniping in other games but the Thale is so easy, and not because of its damage, oh well, not entirely, but mainly because of its zoom.
You should know, I'm all for the balance, but this...

Sniper rifles here are strange, don't want to say what I think of them here;
I'm talking about the Thale: it's so powerful, so precise and easy to use which is simply wrong.
A sniper rifle should deal an insane amount of damage, true. But it should also be the hardest weapon to master in a game, not this point and click thing, seriously.

I seen a proto Amarr sentinal with a charge sniper rifle on top of his MCC the day before yesterday, I think it was. Couldn't snipe him with my charge so I took a viper on a suicide run jumped out onto his MCC and then the dude just jumped off. The sad part is that I was in a G/1 basic medium and he could have killed me easily; so I rewarded him with taunt mail saying he had won the ***** of the month award.
