How many members of the community would like to have clone packs cost 0 isk and passive isk gain from districts turned off? At least until pc 2.0 comes around...
Any corp will be able to attack at will. No point in the big corps holding and defending every single district unless they still really want too. every match can be similar to a pfc match as there is no risk or reward.
Your thoughts?
(keep in mind this proposal is only temporary until changes of pc 2.0)

Well isn't the main point of of owing district to get the passive isk gain?? you could do something like this 1.) Increase clone packs to 150 2.) Make clone packs cheaper 3.) Make the passive Isk every 3 days instead of everyday
But who really knows just have to wait and see what the have planned for the future of PC
The only way i would see them doing something making everything free would be a complete over haul to PC |

I probably still wouldn't bother with PC. The only reason I would ever want to be in a PC corp is to get paid from the ISK farm.

Not a bad idea. 1.) has been asked for , for a very long time. It would just makes things more fair for everyone. The one thing vets and newer players both can agree on. 2.) cheaper clone packs always run the risk of making for better farming. However cheaper is necessary for smaller, newer corps who want to get into pc. 3. Can you elaborate? Do you want 3 days worth of isk every 3 days or that one day of isk expanded onto 3 days? That can probably help combat isk farming but keeping the same isk/afk ratio won't do anything. Idea does seem worth exploring more, just need to crunch some numbers...

OK what i mean about about the third idea is yes having passive isk gain every 3 days and maybe an slight increase to the isk generated by it maybe only 1 or 2 million extra |

Well one month of that can actually cause that to happen. At least in my opinion. Pubs and Q-syncing against randoms will never prepare you for pc. Only way to prepare for pc is to spend about a billion isk buying clone packs everyday. Litterally a billion isk... You can't learn to be a good pc player in 1 pc matches, or even 5 pc matches. Any vet who believes otherwise is just trolling. People get better with experience and in this case experience is expensive. All these vets here have an upwards of a years experience of constant pc battles. The experience gap is huge. The isk gap is huge.
This is all ccp's fault for not providing us with an alternative team based game mode. CCP calls this a team based game, but only makes it where only a select few can efficiently play with their team on the regular.
I still believe that an alternative game mode for corp vs corp battles can solve alot of problems. It won't fix pc but it will give something the people have been wanting for a long time. It will also give the people the "pfc" they deserve. But this thread is about exploring" other solutions" so I won't go too offtopic.

What's next, proto bpos for everyone No, clones are created by satisfying an Integer value designated as the cost.
But if you need a different reason, just say that the passive isk rewards are going towards the cost of the clone packs. instead of biomassing, they get donated to a good will hospital which turns them into clone packs to give to the poor.

Yes, that means someone could mass attack the whole DNS alliance.
How many districts would they take?
Not to mention that district locking would cost nothing, therefore the whole alliance could lock up, and still keep people out of PC....

If it is free and there is no passive isk generation then what is the point of scheduling battles 1-2 days ahead of time? With no passive isk reward, why wait so long for a battle? They might as well shorten it to an hours wait or less to prepare. No point in locking a district for an hour.

But General John, if we scrubs got good, then how would the PC vets be able to puff out their chests waggle their little epeens and lord over us in pub matches. The "elites" in this game don't want competition, they never have. From the day when a bunch of these fucks got together and decided to throw together a team of ringers for the tester's tournament and they got selected over real corporations the tone for Dust was set. Its the same reason the circle jerk of PC corporations has been pretty much branches from that same tree ever since. These players are so great they must avoid competition at all costs unless they have absolutely every advantage available to them.
I'm not ever going to be competition for them I'm too old, too stoned, reflexes are too slow, and I can never muster enough fucks to give to even try. But they could battle each other while folding new players in to their corps, but then they wouldn't be elite and superior to everyone else.
