RE drop 1.5m in front of you when thrown.
the only way to throw them further is to use momentum of a sprint jump where they drop a massively epic 3 meter in front of you.
and they have arming timer.
if you cant dodge that you are a scrub. |

So, okay, wait. You'll be okay if I stockpile Thukkers and slap them on my 'Dren' Scout with kincats in lows, yes? Since R/Es seem to be not okay.

The only problem with REs is that while they're "sticky" when they hit a vehicle, they slide like they're made of grease on pretty much every other surface in the game. They should stick to EVERYTHING. If you throw them while moving, you can get your maybe 1.5m drop to the ground turned into a 10m+ slide. Because they're running along the ground, and because anything that moves and isn't a Dropsuit takes forever to render on your HUD scanner (like tanks sneaking up to 5m behind my 50m scanning Scout without lighting up), you DON'T see them coming in time to dodge like you should. If they were ACTUALLY sticky like they should be, people couldn't exploit the lack of stickiness and throw them into groups of enemies before detonation. |

Throw Range (you tried throwing an RE up recently?).
Blast radius.
Variable timer (cooking).
Don't need to equipment to throw.
Don't need to have piece of equipment out to detonate.
Doesn't take up equipment slot (slightly more versatile than grenade slot).
Try fluxing a tank.
Try REing a tank.
Tell me which is easier.

Personal record... 7 kills from behind with a single f-45 ( nicely packed proto squad.. Thought it was pretty slick then three cloaked scouts with shottys appeared but that clone died laughing.)

The difference between trying to actually landing a flux on a tank, compared to planting REs on it in no way does that. Nor are fluxes ever involved in part of a process to destroy tanks. That comparison had no relevance whatsoever.

Avoidable? Not if you are a heavy, spawn camped, entrapped. Throwing range doesn't matter at 10m/s. What arming time? Shot and destroyed when they are not in a bugged/invisible place. |

They're not interchangeable as far as fittings are concerned. Many suits have 0-1 equipment slots so using it to fit the "grenade" would prevent them from fitting an uplink, hive, injector etc.
I don't really get how this relates to COD either. |

Hold on, so placing an RE waiti g for it to arm typically takes about 2 secs and then manualy detonating it to kill a 1700EHP heavy camping a corridor is now unfair? So the fact I took an item in this game and used it to counter someone is illegal?
What next I'm not allowed to kill shltgunners with a sniper rifle?
