Quote:Valklear Ascendant, a recent Minmatar mercenary start-up corporation, is proud to announce the creation of the United Minmatar Scholarship Fund.
Even in the age of immortality, poverty still exists. Among those especially afflicted are the young freedom fighters of the Minmatar Nation.
All proceeds go to the purchase of skillbooks, vehicles, and dropsuit grants to those in the corp not yet capable of self-sufficiency.
Please help us help those who help Amarr burn!
Because a clone is a terrible thing to waste.
The UMSF is conducting its first fundraiser lottery here:

Donations can also be sent to the corporation with "UMSF" in the description. |

Knowledge is the key to success. Success creates wealth. When people increase there wealth, they become my competition.
Yet, people usually loose isk when gambling. At this time I don't know if I should tell people about this newly founded lottery , or discourage people from participating in it.

Then I read the money gained will go to Republic forces, hmmmmmn.
A clone solider should never fight for any of the major empires.
I think any mercenary who gives money to support the education of mercenaries who fight for any of the empires in New Eden is a fool.
This lottery seems to be made to take advantage of fools. That is simply a brilliant idea.
If you look at it from a money-making prospective (as you seem to be), then participation is actually a form of good investment.
CASE:
As money will be going to republic forces, it will cause them to gain strength, and resources. Said strength and resources can be used to fight against their enemies (i.e. the Amarr), creating contracts that need able bodies to fulfil them (for payment, of course).
At the same time, the Amarr don't want to be loosing ground to enemy forces, so they naturally will respond by devoting more manpower to combating the threat, (which, you guessed it; needs able bodies) creating more contracts.
Due to the increased intensity of competition and frequency of contracting, more opportunities for gain are created and thus can be exploited.
We are all a distant echo from the explosion of an ancient star.

You described the situation perfectly. The only thing not perfect for this situation is that it supports the Republic. If only it supported the true way of a mercenary.

Some Amarr hold to old enmities, just like Minmatar, just like your own people Mr Buelle. You cannot punish every one who shares this view. It is neither your right nor possible.
Only remember that the Amarr have only ever strove to unite Mankind, only to show them the right way to live, and to spread the Light of God the the furthest stars of the cluster.
Mr Buelle given than many of your ethnic Gallente also worship God in the Amarrian way.... I know you can appreciate the value of finding the noble way to live, and while you may not approve our methods there are time when what must be done for the betterment of a people is not always what they want.

I have no quarrel with any of the old enemies of the Gallente. Nor do I follow any teachings of any Gods. But you are right in the sense that I do appreciate the way people choose to live their lives, be it religiously or sacrilegiously. It makes things... interesting.
My only reason for hunting him is because after so many years of slavery the Matari are fighting for their freedom and comments like that rekindle my hatred for slavers. You may not of been a slaver, and he may not be one, but I do not condone such racist comments.
I do not see slavery as 'betterment'. I see it as a violation of freedom.

Your connotations and notions regarding slavery differ from our own. To teach them is to show a natural tenderness for them. A tenderness we hope to nurture in the development of their peoples as they transcend ignorance.

Slavery is still slavery in my books. However who am I to judge another man's beliefs or the way he sees the universe.
